Every one is entitled to their opinion. While I think there is a lot to like about this film, it is my least favorite SW film to date.. Reasons:
-Bad dialogue. Anakin and Padme make me groan at points.
-CGI that doesn't hold up. Too smooth. Obviously fake backgrounds.
-Over reliance on green screen.
-Wooden performances, influenced by green screen acting.
-Changes to continuity (R2D2 having rockets he NEVER uses outside ATOTC and ROTS)
-Introduces biggest baddy 3/4 of the way into the film. Dooku under-utilized)
-Worst movie name. Attack of the Clones. They showed up in last 15 minutes. They rescued the Jedi. The movie is named after something that only affects 1/8 of the film.
-Over reliance on CGI. Did you know that NOT ONE clone trooper was someone in a costume. They were all CGI

Things I like:
-Getting rid of the awful Phantom Menace Yoda
-Dooku (an Old weathered ex-Jedi)
-Palpatine manipulations.
- Jango/ Obi-wan battles. On Geonosis and in the asteroid ring)
-Yoda. His fight with Dooku and his training padawans.

In the end, the negatives outweigh the positive and stick with me more. Just my opinion though. That being said, its a Star Wars film, so I'm excited to own it on 4K!

Yeah, I'll be buying it for the last couple of reels when the Jedi go to war, which I love. The preceding 100 minutes or so? Kill it with fire.

Agreed, except for the Obi-Wan/Jango fight and subsequent chase. I adore the seismic charges on my sub.

Back when the prequels were being made Lucasfilm would register domain names that are connected to the movie being made... For EP2 there was: Kamino.net Kamino.org, Kamino.com and so on... Well there was a domain name registered called WORLD ON FIRE but never made it into the film which makes me think the original title was going to be called: Star Wars Episode II: World On Fire which i think would have been great cause of what happens on Geonosis, but then again what do i know.

Probably the best part of the film.

Going by the Dis+ stream, the HDR and WCG do improve the image. However, the 4k makes the already aged CGI look even worse

Attack of the Clones is really a silly name, but I don't know how could you name a movie that's all over the place. I also dislike the name "The Force Awakens" - it's a promo poster tagline that somehow found its way to the film's title.

Tbf, AOTC's title is Lucas paying homage to old movie serials. Their influence can be pretty heavily felt in the prequel trilogy, Commander Cody in Episode 3 for instance got his name from Commando Cody.

Boring movie with bad acting/dialogue, but damn it if "Across The Stars" isn't one of the finest Williams themes in the whole saga.
The teaser poster for this is also one of my fave SW posters ever ("A Jedi shall not know anger..." etc).

The prequels have the best overall Star Wars music.

I like The Force Awakens. I hate Attack of The Clones. Both respectively as titles, and as movies

Shame that it got hacked up so badly on Ep II in the edit, as well as Ben Burtt wanting to drown out the score out to priotise his sound effects, and was then ****ed with some more when Lucas re-edited certain scenes for the Blu-ray edition.

1. So? It’s obvious that R2 had no NEED to use the rocket boosters in the OT. Ever thought of that?

2. They’re CLONES. What were you expecting the filmmakers to do? Hire hundreds of extras with the exact same height and build? Do you realize how expensive that sounds? It’s a whole lot more cost effective for them to be CGI.

The title has meaning, though.

They're CGI even in close-ups, so no. It's just the CGI-obsessed freak's stupidity.

Give or take an interesting meaning.

Attack of the Clones though? Title is absolute garbage. Something more subtle that's also not ONE Sequence of the movie.

I have always thought that The Clone Wars would have been a much simpler and poignant title.

Are you actually calling George Lucas a "freak"??

What would YOU have done to have hundreds of characters on screen with the exact same height and build?

CGI provides a uniformity in size that would be practically impossible to achieve with real extras.

It also removes the cheap plastic look of extras running around in armor that doesn't quite fit perfectly. You can practically hear the clacking of the plastic in the OT.
