Curzon issued Assayas’ latest Non-Fiction as DVD only a few weeks ago.
![]() IFC/Sundance Selects is handling the US release so hopefully we can see a Criterion Blu-ray (or even Shout Factory). So Long, My Son is dated for DVD release on 10th Feb 20. Would love to see Vertigo sublicense The Nightingale to Second Sight a year from now. Invasion Planet Earth - 30th Dec 19 Rojo, Phoenix, Scarborough - 13th Jan 20 The Cakemaker - 20th Jan 20 Tehran: City of Love, Unplanned - 27th Jan 20 Farming - 10th Feb 20 Permission - 24th Feb 20 Last edited by CelestialAgent; 12-18-2019 at 09:50 PM. |

With Shout Factory releasing The Wizard next year in the US I wonder which studio in the UK owns the home entertainment rights to the movie?

Yet in the UK, eOne has not even announced a DVD release date, yet. There is nothing on Base and no video classification on the BBFC, although the cast and crew interviews that will likely make up the disc extras were passed last month. The Amazon and HMV DVD listings have been updated, but still there is no UK release date. Interestingly, it seems that the UK DVD will have German audio and subtitles, likely meaning that the UK, Australian and German DVDs are identical, and thus, that the Australian and German Blu-rays will be identical, too. Unsurprisingly, this would also mean that the same Blu-ray could be issued in the UK if eOne desired. I mean, I'm happy that the film is being released on Blu-ray, but at least give this British film some kind of British home video release. Last edited by McCrutchy; 01-09-2020 at 01:59 PM. |

I wonder if they're just waiting to see if the Academy nominates the film for multiple Oscars. If it gets major nominations, I don't think they can get away with only a DVD, especially since a UHD Blu-ray is coming to the States.

Killerman is getting a UK DVD release on February 03, but no bluray release despite being released on bluray in the US.

Interestingly, Waiti’s film Hunt for the Wilderpeople currently exists as ‘DVD only’ of a sorts as the Blu-ray counterpart is OOP despite the DVD still being in print. Other Waititi is DVD only like Eagle vs. Shark.

I knew it finally secured (very limited) theatrical distribution after 6 or 7 years when Thor: Ragnarok came out, but I had no idea Kaleidoscope/Vertigo had actually put a DVD out.
In the US, the first season of What We Do in the Shadows is also DVD only |
