Hmm. I wonder what the possibilities could be. Wonder if it would be through StudioCanal or the second new deal (which also could be with StudioCanal)

KL Insider,

Does Kino have possible access to the excellent made-for-TV remake of WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE, starring Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave? It was shown on ABC-TV back in the day.

There's a fine supporting performance by John Glover, who was excellent as one of the villains in 52 PICK UP, which was released by Kino.

I'd forgotten about that one. If memory serves, we asked about it more than once and it was never shot down, but I also thought if Kino had it, they'd have announced it by now.

In case anyone missed it, Mill Creek has announced a Blu-Ray release for the six Universal Inner Sanctum films, starring Lon Chaney, Jr. I know there's been some curiosity here as to whether or not Kino might ever tackle these.

Our deals with TF1 are usually two to three films at a time. This deal includes three titles, the previously released Les Liaisons Dangereuses (1959), The Specialists (1969) and the upcoming A Pain in the Ass (1973).

That is a really good one, definitely, one of the best tv-remakes. It did get a DVD release from Fremantle Media/Direct Source some years ago, but I have no idea how legit that was and who would own it now. I have that DVD and haven't watched it in a long while, but it looked presentable for SD as far as I can recall. It's also going for $70+ on Amazon. Notice how Amazon merged reviews for both versions of the movie into one page (as they are the worst as far as keeping variations separated), and the majority of the review going to the original film, of course.

Wanted to put in a good word for THE OSCAR. Really fun, over the top film that I had never heard of before Kino released it. Lots of stars, some playing themselves in cameos, and others in character. It's kind of fun when, say, Peter Lawford or Ernest Borgnine pops up and you have to wait a beat to see if they are supposed to be who they are or not. Jill St. John never looked better, and Stephen Boyd is kind of like Brad Pitt if he was possessed by Donald Trump. Fun fun fun. Thanks Kino!
