Man, if the US 4K set wasn't a ghastly $250 plus tax, I'd get that and be done with this whole thing. But I don't even have a 4K TV yet, and the Blu-ray set's packaging is better, it's miles and away less expensive, and if I really want the 4K versions, then I can currently stream them on Disney+ and/or get them later when the inevitable 4K steelbooks come out. So at the moment I'm currently leaning toward the Blu-ray set, but I have a couple of questions:
The Blu-ray set is not going to be released in the US, right? Walmart has a pre-order for it, but I assume that's just for an import of the UK set, right? Does Walmart usually sell and ship imports? Could the Blu-ray set be a US Walmart exclusive? Probably not, since it wasn't listed in the list of exclusives in the announcement, right? Even if the Walmart set IS a US version of the Blu-ray set, I might still get the UK one since it'd only be about $85 shipped from Amazon UK whereas Walmart wants $130 for its set. But I've never purchased an import from the UK. Don't they have huge annoying ratings logos all over the packaging and discs? Are there ratings logos in the menus once you put the discs in a player? Also, doesn't the UK sometimes edit their movies more than in the US? So will the disc menus and/or films themselves be different than those on the US discs? Last, does the UK Blu-ray set come with digital copies? And if so, can those digital copies be redeemed in the US at all? Sorry for asking so many questions, particularly about Blu-rays in the 4K thread, but I figure there're just as many 4k enthusiasts who are perhaps considering their options that you'd all indulge me a little. ![]() |

I'd love to see the cost between that, the cases, and the box set versus buying the individual 4K sets. Right now, I need to buy I-VII and Rogue One since I already have The Last Jedi and Solo in 4K. That is $240 right there, which is $10 cheaper than the box set.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if you don't put movies on a high level of importance, you're in the wrong place.
