It's a funny visual, though. Imagine all of the millions of people around the world who've downloaded/bought the despecialized editions getting put into the same prison.

Not at all. You order online.

Problem solved. I never set foot in a store.

And your initial comment was that they don't ever go on sale. That's untrue.

Why do you care so much? If people want to support fan edits let them. Disney doesn't seem to care, so neither should you. Disney is 100% aware of these projects btw. If they had an issue they would have sent Harmy and TN1 a cease and desist letter by now, but they haven't and won't likely do that unless they suspect these parties are selling these projects for profit, which they aren't.

Anyways, I agree time to move on. Does anyone know if Empire of Dreams will be included?

But these edits do not have the outcome you expected. It only persuaded the government of the need for his program. They captured pirates... tortured them, experimented on them. In these pirates DNA, they discovered the secrets to powers of transformation. It gave them the key they needed, to create weapons that could adapt to any pirates tactics. And in less than 50 years, the machines that have destroyed so many of our kind were created. But it all started that day in 2020, the day people first started pirating the Unaltered versions when the 4K set was announced.

Not to mention this is a discuss for the 4K releases... not the illegal Ebay old school versions.

PS - I actually like Vader saying NOOOOO at the end of Jedi. It ties in the trilogys nicely. And I say that as somebody who grew up on Jedi on VHS back in the day. The movie is near and dear to my heart... and I love the changes.

I prefer it when Vader says "Nooooo" in ROTJ now. I think it fits better there than it does in ROTS. Watching the scene without the no in ROTJ makes it feel weird to me now.

One would almost think George Lucas worked on the Godfather as a young man and watched Ben-Hur as a kid.

You seem like the kind of person to call the cops if someone passes you going 75 in a 65 zone on the interstate. You must be super fun at parties.

I do love how in Episode 3, George does his version of killing the heads of the 5 families.

He's quoting Ben-Hur all over the place in the Preeks. Was really surprised when people thought, "If you're not with me, you're my enemy" was a political stab, when the Ben-Hur references in the Prequel Trilogy were so overt throughout them all. I guess people just don't watch Ben-Hur (I don't either, I've seen it maybe twice. Outstanding production, though), even when Lucas himself was using Ben-Hur as reference footage in The Phantom Menace. I got it. Not cribbing. Referencing age-old stories that work. Ben-Hur works. You want a really long night? Watch Ben-Hur and The Godfather and then watch the Preeks. Uh, huh.

I would wager 50% is a huge UNDER-estimate when it comes to that. I would guess the ones that prefer the new version would primarily be people that have never seen the original version.
This is almost a criminal act by George Lucas, one of the worst, most idiotic editing decisions in film history. I kept my 2004 DVD's because of this ****. And this is before the whole Greedo/Hand & musical number nonsense, sheesh.
