Because they enjoy the great console exclusives and the extra online features that XBL offers that can not be found on any other console.

It's partially correct, and partially marketing. Many PS2 owners have adopted the 360 because they wanted to join in the fun this gen, could not afford a PS3, and did not want to sit on the sidelines until the PS3 became more affordable. It's smart marketing to point that out.

The 360 has a 3 year warranty. Only those who bought one within the first four months of it's existence are now out of warrantly. If someone buys a second 360 just because their first ringed out.... that just tells me that they enjoy gaming on it so much they could not wait the 2-3 weeks for their free warranty return.

I agree. We'll never know the exact numbers... but judging from the reading I have done in multiple AV forums..... MANY people have purchased a PS3 to use primarily as a blu-ray player. As some standalone players are now cheaper and fuller featured than the PS3... it is loosing that segment of the market.

They buy western RPG's in great numbers..... look at Oblivion, Fable and Fallout.

I'd bet you're wrong. People buy multiple 360's for the same reason they buy multiple PS3's. I have 3 families on my XBL friend's list... each family member with their own console and gold account so that they can game online together. I'm the only gamer in my house and I have two 360's just because they are an awesome Tivo device, the best media streamer I have in my house, and now a good Netflix streamer. Again... if people are buying a second 360 just because they couldn't wait for their free warranty repair... I'd say that's a pretty strong endorsement for how much they enjoy using their 360 daily.

I know to many of you guys.... those who support the PS3 only, are just non-biased logical folk.... and someone crazy enough to support all three consoles can only be a rabid MS fan person.... but it's just not true. Each of this gen's three consoles have valuable things to offer that can not be found on any of it's competitors. There is no need to talk down and insult people just because they have chosen multiple consoles or to own just a 360 or just a Wii. When the marketing guys jab their competitors... it's just business... and Sony does it just as much as MS does.
