How come so many people use the incorrect “me and my friends” instead of the correct “my friends and I” — it’s as if humans as a species have become dumber over the years.

How come so many people use the incorrect “special” instead of the correct “species”? It’s as if humans, as a species, have become dumber (or more slack with autocorrect) over the years.

Poor grammar is not only accepted, but celebrated to the point of even shaming those who point out said mistakes and/or communicate properly in the first place.

I can simply acknowledge to someone that I'm "doing well", and they'll shoot me a look like I'm some pretentious Ivy League snob.

In the 1920s it was often asked upon people if they knew how to read, 100 years later in 2020 how come it's now just assumed that everyone you interact with can read? No one asks that question anymore these days.

Last week I said to my mom that I'm surprised I made it through winter without getting sick. The next day I started to get a cold. Earlier today I said to a friend that the next few shifts at work are gonna make my cold worse. Came home from work tonight and I'm feeling worse than I have all week. Ugh.

That's funny, but really are you familiar with the fourth and fifth dimension of existence?

1D is a strange line, it has no depth or width.
2D adds more lines, but still lacking depth. These are flat images most commonly seen on paper, photos, and TV. But can be other places such as on walls.
3D is the plane of existence we live in, objects have depth and can be held as a result.
4D is time travel. The ability to bend space and time at will.
5D is reality jumping. If you believe in the theory of multiple Earths, all co-existing at the same time but in different realities, the fifth dimension is the ability to move freely between those realities.

I usually judge my decision on if it comes with a statue or not. Usually if there's no statue (or figure of some kind), I get the standard version.

Thinking about getting a new backpack that can fit my laptop. I have a nice laptop bag that's perfect but sometimes I'd prefer to carry the computer around in a backpack and the daypack that I have (purchased for my Ireland 2013 trip) is just a bit too small. Need to remember to hit up Best Buy tomorrow to check them out and maybe I'll finally as Isabel in customer service if she'd like to go out sometime

That reminds me i need a new duffel bag/backpacking pack, currently have a 40L? -ish rock sack but it's seen better days and truthfully I could use something bigger before the kid & I even attempt to do any kind of overnight hiking trips.

People really shouldn't stick their cell phones in their back pockets - I witnessed someone's phone fall out of their pocket while they crossed the street the other day and she was totally oblivious. If I hadn't been walking behind her, she would've had a really bad day.
