Definitely down for the Universal collection - had a feeling those jungle movies were next in the pipeline. Will also pick up Tales From The Darkside. I've seen Orca a few times, and like it, but it's so god damn depressing.

Great announcement! I'm in for 3 of 4.... Tales, 13 and Orca. Like a few others I have the Umbrella release of Orca but will easily double dip. My only complaint is the art... do killer whales heads bend to face forward? Ugh. What's wrong with the poster art??

^ I have the Umbrella Orca Blu, and the way they spread that long horizontal artwork over the back cover is awesome!!! Check it out HERE.

That said, I don't mind the Scream artwork at all. It is vintage artwork by legendary fantasy artist Boris Vallejo:

I think the Orca artwork is great — it’s such a striking, weird image from an original/vintage illustration. I’m glad they didn’t go with the theatrical poster, with its abundance of text and white space.

The Tales From the Darkside art is excellent as well. One of their best newly commissioned pieces.

I was hoping for Hammer's KISS OF THE VAMPIRE and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, but am excited about the Universal collection 5.

I did not realize that the Scream art was vintage or related to the film in anyway. Doesn't change my opinion, but I respect the artwork now lol. I had to grab my Umbrealla release and marvel at the wraparound art...love it!

There's a 4K master and digital copy available, so there may actually be a plan of Paramount to keep the title and release it as a 4K / BD pack, which at this point would be the only way I'll buy it. (Same goes for any catalog they've released digitally in 4K, I skipped the recent Domestic BD release of the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy for this reason.)

It took a year, but they eventually released It's a Wonderful Life on physical 4K disc.

Definitely a theme with the new Universal set. I wish they weren’t so damn expensive so I could finally pick them up.

Yeah, Orca looks more like Flipper.

I think there will be a sixth (and final) set, because we know Scream have The Black Castle. It will either be all 50s or mostly 50s, but we know Kino have one 50s title, which I suspect will be Curse of the Undead (they have two new-to-disc 1959 films in the deal). If this is so, it would leave the following 50s films available to Scream:

The Black Castle
Curucu, Beast of the Amazon
Cult of the Cobra
The Thing That Couldn't Die

I don't see Scream going back and doing the remaining 30s and 40s stuff, at least not for a long long time (they said something about going chronologically a while back, so that would seem to suggest they're pressing on). Here's what's left other than those mentioned above (to my knowledge):

Murder by the Clock (Paramount)
Secret of the Blue Room
Terror Aboard (Paramount)
Double Door (Paramount)
Menace (Paramount)
The Mystery of Edwin Drood
The Missing Guest
The Mad Doctor (Paramount)
The Mystery of Marie Roget
Flesh and Fantasy
One Body Too Many (Paramount)
The Man In Half Moon Street (Paramount)
The Unseen (Paramount)
The Cat Creeps
The Spider Woman Strikes Back

Most of those left don't have DVD releases, and the Kino Insider said this:

As for 30s horror title Kino 'might' have, it will surely be either The Mystery of Edwin Drood or Secret of the Blue Room, which would again make the prospect of another 30s/40s set unlikely.

Those four titles would be great for a Volume 6. But it would be awesome to get any of those other titles you mentioned from Scream or Kino or someone else if the film events are workable.

Would have much preferred Ghost Ship or the I Know What You Did Last Summer films to Thirteen Ghosts but I'll probably grab it.

It’s possible, depending on the title.

I'm definitely pre-ordering Tales From the Darkside from SF, for that poster. The other 2 i'll pre-order from Amazon.
