Someone who would willingly accept sub-par technology and lower standards just because 'they can't live without transformers' is the lowest form of life. To me anyway. It disgusts me that one would sacrifice things that will affect millions of other people for years to come over such materialistic and small matters.

It's not about Blu-ray or HDDVD. It's about the lying and misinformation and the behind closed doors deals. Why do you think they didn't publish how much they got paid in that press release? Is it because it would damage the worthiness of the news? Would it change the message drastically? Yes.

Demand better. Have the conviction to stand behind it. As an individual you do make a difference because when individuals begin to stand before long you have an army. It's what wins wars and supports freedom.

This is the funniest post I have read on any of the forums I go to in regards to the format war. Guess what kids, Toshiba was desperate, they pooled their resources with MS, and pulled a desperation move. They bought themselves some ground, same as Sony paid Best Buy for all those endcaps and boys in blue, same as has happened I'm sure many more times than any of us are aware of with both formats. The Divx fiasco a decade ago made it very clear that all of these studios can be bought at a price (Fox seems to be the lone holdout this time, due to copy protection).

If you want every available movie in HD at your disposal, you go format neutral. It's about the movies, not about being loyal to giant corporations on both sides who couldn't care less about you. Sony=Panasonic=MS=Toshiba, if someone tells you otherwise, to steal a line from an MGM movie I hope comes out on Blu soon, they are selling something (most likely Blu-Ray or HD-DVD).
