Aaah... Thats ok, my level have around 300 Plays. Thats not that much but for a first one I'm satisfied. I'm now working on a new one inspired by flower (I agree I don't have the most "tough guy" concept... first baby... second flower... I'll try to do my third about war! ) so I hope this one will be better noticed (if I can get it right)!

Well - it's tough to make a "manly" level in LBP.

Yeah, 300 plays is good. I thought you still might be stuck at 50 or less.

I was hoping PW II might become one of those 10,000 plays levels, but I think it's just too hard and I just didn't have time this week to devote to making sure it got "stuck" on the Cool Levels pages.

It'll get over 1,000, which is great - but I had some wishful thinking for more.

Oh well,

I had an idea about how to do a Flower level a couple days ago too. If you want, maybe we could collaborate? It's a little hard to explain here though. I'd have to show you in LBP. I have a pretty basic prototype up in my moon, but I haven't mapped out the entire level yet. I don't know where to find the music notes used in the real Flower game though.

LBP can be a frightening place.
It's always the cute ones you have to watch out for!

I like the Idea of a collaboration. I only have a prototype of a "growing" flower which is working good, but don't look as good as I would have liked... I'll invite you or invite me next time we are both online.

I approve.
Are you sying that I will be able to uploadmy own songs into levels? That would be awesome.

No.

You'll be able to listen to songs you have on your hard-drive, while you are in Create Mode, or in your POD. Once you go into play mode, it will be the same old songs.

Songs in the levels will continue to be MM products.

Bummer. I think they should let us put our own songs in. I could make some awesome levels themed to the music.

Just wanted to tell everyone that game trailer's Bonus Round this week is pretty much all Little Big Planet. It's a good 15 minute interview with Alex Evan's about his game, what he thinks of DLC and expansions/patches for games in general, and it shows ALOT of user made levels in glorious HD. Check it out:

Thanks for posting.

Not much new info unfortunately.

Just talks about the awards they've gotten and how DLC is a new frontier in the gaming industry that is really revolutionizing how companies approach the audience, etc.

MM needs to do one thing though - they need to get a LOT better about explaining glitches and future fixes. Tons of people are still getting "Failed to Load" errors and quiting the game entirely. (This was supposed to be fixed in the last update). They never came out and addressed the tons of threads on LBP.com about people who couldn't save their levels after they got the Valentine's pack, etc. etc. etc.

As much as I love this game - I get quite annoyed at MM for not supporting their community better by communicating about known issues.

I'm looking forward to new DLC, but more than anything, I'd love for them to work on lag/connection issues, profile limitations, and level failures.

all of these issues is why i am no longer a part of the community. i love this game to death but with issues like these, i cannot bear to play it online (the only aspect left after you complete the game 100%) its a shame really. add another map pack like the MGS4 one and i will be back with open arms though =D

Btw, funny thing, some buddies did a video review of my level - they sped up the video to get more in (still only got a little more than half the level) and set it to some silly music.

http://tinyurl.com/ck34al (youtube) (If it says "this video is no longer available" select "HQ" when viewing).

I didn't realize they were going to try the level with 3 people (or even do a review), but I could have told them the level has waaaay too many moving parts that can cause lag issues. The level does some weird things, like strange "wobbles".

Anyway, I thought it was a funny video and fun to see their reactions to playing it for the first time.

(I saw my buddy playing it, and tried to join - but my PS3 froze and I got kicked. You can see my name come up. Would have been funny if I had joined in while they were reviewing my level.)

The moment we saw the trailer for LittleBigPlanet’s Metal Gear Solid inspired level pack, we understood the game on a whole new level. It’s not the typical release, supported by high sales within its first week on the shelves. LittleBigPlanet is a whole platform, supported by a rabid community and fresh DLC.

When prompted by Geoff Keighley on the development of an LBP sequel, Alex Evans, founder of Media Molecule, answered “the whole team is working on LBP, whether that comes out in a sequel or DLC isn’t an issue. We’re just doing whatever we’d be doing anyway and the way that comes out isn’t really important.”

He also went on to confirm that there are a number of patches that will change the functionality of the game in the future.

“The ‘Paint Gun’ in the Metal Gear pack was a little taster. We want to make it easier for people to make the things they want to make.”

Jokingly Geoff Keighley asked whether we would ever find people creating FPS’ in LittleBigPlanet; “It could happen. Why not?”

Yeah, made it seem like a wacky and fun level.

But that's ok, they seemed to be having a fun time with it.
