Frankly, I'm glad they were able to accomplish what they did with zero input from him. It leaves him out in the cold where he belongs.
The most ridiculous claim he made was that he declined Kino's offer for Robot Monster and Catwomen of the Moon (both 3D) because there were parts of the contract they proffered that he didn't understand. Ah...isn't that why you have lawyers to look over contracts? To explain things you don't understand?

What reading that HTF thread ultimately establishes is that he'd rather sit on his film properties until the elements all disintegrate and/or all interest in them vanishes than make a deal that isn't 100% in his favor and make some money while interest in 3-D "B" films 60+ years still exists.

Hard to believe but I've known literary agents waste six months to a year not approving contracts for their clients because they didn't understand them, even trying to drop a deal their client agreed because they'd rather you go away and stop confusing them even when their legal expenses were covered under the deal. It's not common, but it's not uncommon either. (On the other hand, the infamously bad - but entirely legal - royalties deal for Forrest Gump went through precisely because the author's agent never ran it past an entertainment lawyer to explain the terminology.)

As someone who obviously has a soft spot for Robot Monster, I always wondered why it never had a release.

**I see now that this one was a "submission," and did not actually earn the nomination. But I'm no less interested.
It was over four years ago, but MisterLime shot down an upgrade for As It Is in Heaven unfortunately.

The opening credits of the film, at least the rifftrax version currently streaming on Amazon Prime, has it as Daleks’ Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. with the apostrophe after the “S” in Daleks.

Both Reddington (partially) and you are right: the film's marketing had no apostrophe:

..but StudioCanal's UK Blu has the apostrophe on the print.

Yes, they were. And yes, 2 of the 3 60s SC titles are the 2 Dr. Who/Daleks films we announced yesterday and today.

Was there any updates on the release of Not For Publication?

Also is Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills still on the calendar for this summer?

I would hope that the Universal 50s film was Jose Ferrer's "The Great Man", but I suspect it won't be....this film seems to have been completely forgotten

Great to hear about the 2 Dr. Who movies! Does your current deal with StudioCanal include the original STARGATE movie, or is it still with Lionsgate?

This is the remaining 50s title that is new-to-DVD. All remaining 50s titles (as things stand, there are 20 to be announced, including 10 westerns) were previously released on DVD by Universal.

[Show spoiler]1950 x1
1952 x6
1953 x4
1954 x2
1955 x2
1956 x2
1957 x3
1958 x2
1959 x1 (No Name on the Bullet)

Some points:

- There are 1 or 2 noir titles to come, and there are only 2 possibilities by my count: The Unguarded Moment and The Restless Years. So evidently we're going to get at least one of these, possibly both.

- 10 titles are westerns; one of these will be be No Name on the Bullet. Of the remaining 9, two are also Audie Murphy films.

- 2 are WWII films

Right, the possibilities (again, I may have made mistakes or omitted some things):

From 1950, 1 of:

Buccaneer's Girl
Comanche Territory
The Desert Hawk
Francis
Kansas Raiders
Sierra

From 1952, 6 of:

Against All Flags
The Cimarron Kid
Duel at Silver Creek
Has Anybody Seen My Gal
Horizons West
No Room for the Groom
Red Ball Express
Scarlet Angel
Son of Ali Baba
Yankee Buccaneer
The World in His Arms

From 1953, 4 of:

All I Desire
Back to God's Country
The Golden Blade
The Lawless Breed
The Mississippi Gambler
Redhead from Wyoming
Seminole
War Arrow

From 1954, 2 of:

Bengal Brigade
Black Horse Canyon (no more Joel McCrea in deal)
The Black Shield of Falworth
Border River (no more Joel McCrea in deal)
Dawn at Socorro
Drums Across the River
Ride Clear of Diablo
Saskatchewan

From 1955, 2 of:

Artists and Models
Captain Lightfoot
Lady Godiva of Coventry
One Desire
The Private War of Major Benson

From 1956, 2 of:

Backlash
The Benny Goodman Story
The Conqueror
Never Say Goodbye
Pillars of the Sky
There's Always Tomorrow
The Unguarded Moment
Walk the Proud Land

From 1957, 3 of:

Battle Hymn
Gun for a Coward
The Incredible Shrinking Man (no 50s sci-fi in deal)
Jet Pilot
My Man Godfrey
Quantez

From 1958, 2 of:

The Perfect Furlough
The Restless Years
Ride a Crooked Trail
