You know that's not true. This latest delay has nothing to do with the buyout. No one at Disney wrote, produced, or directed this so if it's bad it's on Fox.

And you're not giving them credit for at least trying to give it a proper release when so many have called for it to be dumped on Hulu.

It's still Disney's decision, not Fox's. Also this will still flop even if it is a good movie.

If it does flop you can put the blame directly on Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.

The Disney Derangement Syndrome is strong on this board.

X-Men: Apocalypse grossed $155.4 million in the U.S. and Canada and $388.5 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $543.9 million against a budget of $178 million.[4] The film is the fourth-highest-grossing film in the X-Men series (without adjusting for inflation), behind Deadpool, Logan, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.[98] It made 27% less than Days of Future Past.[99]

The film was released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment on digital download on September 9, 2016, and on DVD, blu-ray, 3D blu-Ray, and 4K ultra HD blu-ray on October 4, 2016.[96] The film topped the national home video sales charts for the week ending on October 9, 2016.[97]

And? You just had a thread deleted talking about the terrible Star Wars films that each made north of a billion dollars.

If this does poorly at the box office, I think it will be easier to pin hesitancy on the fact that it's been shelved for so long than any connection it has to X-Men films that played themselves out.

I'm not thinking at all about those movies when I see the trailers and marketing for this movie. Hopefully there isn't any, at least obvious, in the finished film.

No excuse. Deadpool and Logan were successful.

I get what you’re saying, but the logic of blaming Disney for a films failure— which Disney didn’t not produce, write, or direct makes absolute no sense.

The only truth to your post is Fox’s original delays which were the results of the Disney buyout.

However, being this movie has been postponed for THREE years, and the dissatisfaction from fans with the poor reaction from Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse, this film is destined to be a failure.

Many are right. Disney is better off releasing this on Hulu so that they don’t take a financial hit when it does tank at the box office.

I'm not talking about quality. I mean box-office failure.

Once again, no excuse. The Deadpool films and and Logan were successful. Also this movie doesn't feature the Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix cast.

This movie did not cost as much as Apocalypse or Dark Phoenix.

You're making no sense. So simply the fact of Disney buying Fox and a Coronavirus delay means Disney is going to be responsible for it being a flop??

They're marketing it and releasing it to theaters. They're trying to let it succeed.

It's their movie.

My point is, if you are going to blame Fox you also have to put Disney equally as responsible. This movie would have been released by now if Disney didn't buy Fox.

So let's take a leap and pretend it'll be a massive success. Are you seriously saying then you'd praise Disney and give them credit?

I would give them credit if they released this a lot earlier. At the very least that's what they could have done. But no. After buying Fox, we were still in the dark for months and months on The New Mutants fate. Am I going to blame Fox for that?
