I see it's not a popular opinion, but I really loved Die Another Day. It's my favourite Brosnan Bond, and one of my favourite Bond films overall. It's over the top, yes, but I don't watch James Bond films for nuance or realism. In comparison (and not just in comparison), every single Craig film has been a total bore, even if each of them had a few decent moments.

Serious when it needs to be, playful at times, with a little bit of cheese thrown in. And a terrific theme song and score by Arnold.
It's also my favorite Brosnan film and my 5th favorite Bond film overall and in my opinion one of the most underrated Bond films. Elektra King is the best femme fatale of the entire series. I love the way she gets under Bond's skin and Brosnan plays it very well.

I wanna buy the set that has 24 films together but with No Time To Die coming out next year I wonder if I should hold off and see if they re-release this for a 3rd time with it included.

Opinions?

Of course they will. But also the previous set will become much cheaper for them to shift inventory before the new one, so consider all options.

And then the 26th film will come out and the 25-film box will be incomplete. And so on, and so forth.

The only reason I shifted to this box from the Bond 50 set was I hated how much shelf space it took up and it was super cheap on a Black Friday deal, plus it came with a car and digital codes, so between selling the car, Bond 50, and the codes, I ended up making a profit on the whole shebang. Otherwise I would've happily stuck with Bond 50 and then adding individuals (as it is I have an individual of Casino Royale anyway, for the extra footage in the Australian cut).

Such an annoyance. Been eying this for so long that when I wanna pull the trigger they get a new movie coming out, which is partially why I'm pumped to buy this set now.

Would it be a poor buy though? My ScreamFactory Halloween box set is not relevant since the 2018 movie was released. These sets will always be outdated.

But the set now if it’s cheap. The four Daniel Craig films are housed in a four disc Viva Elite case... just switch that out for a five disc Viva Elite case so you have a spot for No Time To Die when it comes out on disc and at the very least the set will be a complete collection of the first 6 Bond stars.

They will always be "incomplete" yes, but I was toying with just waiting until the last Craig flick is out so I can at least have a "complete" set by actor.

I was quite lucky in early 2000 & again in 2013 a number of the Bond actors did a couple of collector shows in LA, lined up for hours but was worth it got quite a few of the actors as far back as DR No, Eunice Grayson, Tania Mallet & Shirley Eaton were still stunning! then as luck would have it a hotel I was working at Roger Moore stayed, one night in the bar he was alone & I asked for a signed dvd cover, he was really nice & said if I made a UNICEF donation he would sign all the sleeves & pictures I had! I was only going to ask for the 1, but got lucky.

Recently got laid off, so if your after anyone that I may have I would part with them. PM me.

regards
Andy

I stopped by Best Buy today and upgraded all four of my Daniel Craig Bond Blu-rays with the new individual 4K+Blu-ray sets, as a way of future-proofing them for the not-too-distant-future day when I replace my older 4K television with a newer one that supports the new format.

I did not want to buy the Daniel Craig 4K box set that came out a while back, but I like the individuals 4K combo packs, because they sit well with my individual 50th Anniversary Bond Blu-rays of the rest of the movies.

I held off on buying the last James Bond collection because I hated the blank packaging. I'm hoping they do a better job on the next one because the original promotional art for the Bond films is a major factor. No more minimalist designs.

Has anyone tried syncing the Criterion commentary files that are floating around the internet with these Blus? Does it sync straight up, need a delay set, or just not work at all?

So, in looking on Amazon, I am seeing that the 2015 version of the Bond Blu-rays are no longer available in New condition, only from 3rd party sellers. In some cases, the 3rd party sellers only have used or like-new. I checked quite a few of the individual releases (Dr. No, FRWL, Thunderball, YOLT, DAF, TSWLM). Goldfinger is an exception and is still available from Amazon in new condition.

That makes me wonder if that is intentional and that they were/are prepping new releases to coincide with No Time to Die (which I think lots of us would expect) or if it is a supply chain issue due to COVID. I am assuming the former, as I haven't had issues finding new copies of other movies that I like.
