I kinda like the logo treatments on D+, and HD PNGs of the logos can be pulled from the site if you browse on a computer so I don’t really need to do any work.

My dynamic contrast option on my LG television is turned off, along with other such default options that may affect the filmmaker's intention with a movie.

As long as it goes away when I eject the disc for a split second and then replay it, then all is well. Even if it doesn't, it does not seem to affect th main feature...just the transitions between starting logos and such.
Welp, good as time as any for me to start a marathon and see what I see.

My TV has all its dynamic contrast and colors turned off too. My calibration was done with my own eyeballs, with maybe a little help from an article or two I found online, so it's hardly professional-grade. Despite that, I did see some fluctuations in the black levels between the movies' logos and opening crawls. It appears to me as gentle dimming, and I think it has something to do with the way the TV reads and displays the frame. Haven't tried any particularly advanced tinkering (backlight maybe?), but I tend to think that's just the way it handles shots/cards with lots of darkness. It's been the same with other movies.

In light of that, I'm not sure what else to recommend. Could try adjusting the power-saving features to see if it's something to do with the backlighting. But that's all I can think of.

It sounds like some of you guys are creating your own custom cover inserts. Is there a website that has finished ones that can be downloaded?

Someone made a set way earlier in this thread and the back covers even had the opening crawls instead of the usual info, I kinda like that idea.

Ooh, I like that. Do you happen to know where it was offhand to save searching through 300+ pages?

Anyone care to make a wager? I bet you that Target will have a B2G1 on 4K discs sometime within the next four weeks. Meaning you will be able to get these individuals for $20 apiece.

I think I'll pick up Rogue One, The Force Awakens, and Revenge of the Sith for 60 bones.

For those that have the 4K77 and 4K83 versions, what’s the easiest way for a techtarded person such as myself to watch them on a LG OLED tv?

Put them on a external HDD and connect to your LG's USB input. Mine are on a Samsung SSD 1TB drive and I play that through my Oppo 203 using USB.

I did just earlier this week by transferring them from the MacBook I use for school onto a 256GB SanDisk USB drive.

Where did you download it from? Please PM if that’s not allowed to be discussed.

Thanks

Will that work with a flash drive as well?
And also on a TCL 5 Series?

Not one of those shots looks in focus
It's just DNR.

Actually, I wonder how the negative of The Empire Strikes Back looks. The team that did the 4K77 and 4K83 versions seem to have had trouble locating good prints of ESB. The heavier use of DNR on this master suggests the film might look a bit rougher (noisier, grainier) than the others.

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I haven't been following this thread too closely and I didn't see anything over the past couple pages, but:

Has there been any word or indication if Best Buy has plans to release steelbooks for the individual releases?

These 4K versions are must owns for me, but I really don't want to buy all of them to simply double dip on more expensive steelbooks down the line (which is what I ended up doing with the standard BDs already).

I wouldn't care as much if I could use my current steelbooks to house them, but no way I can fit 3 discs in those.
