Like I said im just not a huge fan of Lady Vengeance so that's why I didn't get the trilogy. I have Arrow's Oldboy & Tartan's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Im good with those. I don't know what features the Canadian trilogy has so I cant compare.

From the three commentaries included on this Blu-ray disc, this is the most informative one. The Korean director provides an excellent analysis of his film, plenty of technical information addressing specific scenes and the film's unique music score, etc. In Korean, with optional English subtitles. Commentary - an audio commentary with director Park Chan-wook and actors Gang Hye-jung, Yu Ji-tae, and Choi Min-sik. I've only listened to portions of the commentary and my general impressions of it is that it has a rather casual tone. If you are looking for a strong analysis of the film, I would recommend listening to the first audio commentary with director Park Chan-wook. In Korean, with optional English subtitles. Commentary - an audio commentary with director Park Chan-wook and cinematographer Chung Ching-hoon. In Korean, with optional English subtitles. Though also quite technical, this specific commentary focuses more on specific scenes and the manner in which they were shot as opposed to the film's finished look and unique story. In Korean, with optional English subtitles. Deleted Scenes - a collection of deleted scenes with optional commentary by director Park Chan-wook. In Korean, with optional English subtitles. (25 min, 1080p). -- Oh Dae-su -- Day One -- Restaurant -- Confronting the Guards -- Kiss -- The Lovers 1 -- The Lovers 2 -- Woo-jin's Preparation -- Remaining Plot -- Tube Station: Reflection Behind the Scenes Documentaries - a group of short documentaries focusing on various technical aspects. -- CGI Documentary - in Korean, with imposed English subtitles. (8 min, 480/60i). -- Flashback - in Korean, with imposed English subtitles. (24 min, 480/60i). -- Making the Film - The Cast Remembers - in Korean, optional English subtitles. (11 min, 480/60i). -- The Music Score - in Korean, not subtitled. (17 min, 480/60i). -- Production Design - in Korean, not subtitled. (14 min, 480/60i). Cast and Crew Interviews - an extensive collection of interviews with director Park Chan-wook and various cast and crew members. In Korean, with imprinted English subtitles. (50 min, 480/60i). Le Grand Prix at Cannes - director Park Chan-wook and cast and crew members discuss the success of Oldboy at the Cannes Film Festival. In Korean, with imprinted English subtitles. 9 min, 480/60i). The Autobiography of Oldboy - raw footage from the shooting of Oldboy with various comments from cast and crew members. In Korean, with imprinted English subtitles. (210 min, 480/60i). Original Trailer - Palisades Tartan's theatrical trailer for Oldboy. Music only. (2 min, 1080p). |

Are Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance & Lady Vengeance any better in this Arrow trilogy set than the Palisades Tartan releases? I'm thinking of getting this set for the upgrade of those, if there is an upgrade. I also noticed the full colour version of Lady Vengeance is included, so that's one thing it has over the Palisades Tartan release, which only included the Fade to Black & White version.

I've had an issue with a different Arrow blu-ray where the DVD region also had to match (region 2) or else the disc wouldn't play. So, it could be that.
