I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt because it’s HBO, and if he’s not writing it, it might be good.
I used to not mind J.J. Abrams (I actually like his two Star Trek films and Super 8). But he’s played all his good nostalgia cards already. I though TROS was a train-wreck story and characters-wise. I think he’s an excellent director but he shouldn’t be writing or coming up with stories anymore. It’s hurting him and the franchises he’s worked on more than helping them. |
