I am still blown away that after months and months of this, the entire globe I mean, there are still so many that think this is a hoax.

I keep telling so many of them on Facebook to take this time of lock down and read a book or two, a little extra education never hurt no one.

It's gonna get tested pretty quickly. You see the shots of those reopened beaches in Florida? No social distancing there.

Beaches are safer than other placed. You have wind and UV light. You have sand and not hard surfaces. If they want to take chances let them.

Yep. And after Florida beaches re-opened, our state saw their largest single-day increase with 1,400 cases.

What idiots.

The weather here has finally turned for the better.

Looked out yesterday (we have a good view of a valley below us with walking paths) and could see the most people I've seen outside since this all began - groups of people together, no social distancing etc.

We're going to see a massive spike in 2 weeks.

And if they catch it, they bring it back home and/or to the other places they then go to.

See, you're statement is why I doubt people will ever understand it. You're still just thinking selfishly. It's NOT about a single person getting the virus, it's WHO they then give it to. That's always been the issue.

And they can stay there. Don’t get on a plane and bring it here.

I was texting with a buddy a few days ago and he said he went to Wal-Mart on Easter to get some grocery's. He said it was pretty crowded and some people had brought their whole families to the store and their kids were digging through looking for the perfect Easter basket to buy. So I guess people didn't have anywhere else to go on Easter, so they went to Wal-Mart. (I heard Wal-Mart was suppose to be limiting the number of people inside, not sure why this Wal-Mart wasn't doing that.)

Another friend of mine emailed me last Monday. She said she heard a lot of loud music and voices coming from outside on Sunday night. She looked through her fence and she said her neighbor had a gathering of about 15 people, I guess celebrating for Easter.

Too many people are just being selfish, or stupid, or both.

Ya, sometimes I think maybe we should all just go extinct.

I've said it before and I know it's mildly cruel. Let's take all the idiots who don't believe the coronavirus should be taken seriously and put them in one area and put everyone else in another area. Let nature take its course. I still don't know why people think when others can't go to work, school or church, they have the right to go out to beaches to party with their buddies. It's beyond my ability to grasp.

I believe I already had it. Had a cough and a fever around 101 and felt sick. Took a couple of days off from work, came back and there were like 15 people hacking away. Everyone got better. This was in early February. The worse this thing can do is kill you. It won't disfigure you like smallpox. Won't cripple you like polio. If you have good life insurance you are ok. Death is not the end.

So how can we tell if covid19 has stopped infecting people? The government is telling people who have tested positive to quarantine themselves at home for 14 days, so when the 14 days are up then what? Is it safe to mingle in public again? Should we consider covid19 a threat until a vaccine is found and proven safe? What if a vaccine is never found?

I don't know his mom, but that is a bit harsh.

I am sure there where many things we used to complain about
(getting ready for work, the commute back and forth to work, going to the grocery store, forced to go shopping with our spouses....) that today seem like dreamily scenarios.

and for many stuff like sitting down and watch a film or play a videogame, enjoy their favorite hobby... seemed like a dream before but now it comes off as tedious and they want to do something else like go out...

It is human nature to want what you can't have, and some form of normalcy

possibly. The issue lies in what you stated above. We don't know exactly how long it can be before someone shows symptoms. So it could be that some are just not showing symptoms yet but they will eventually be showing them.

Depending on where it builds a nest (for lack of a better term) the symptoms can be different, have different severity and a different duration. So there is the possibility that there were symptoms but they got missed. " I had a bad night sleep and so I am a bit more tired today", "my nose is bothering me it must be allergies", "cough, cough, something is caught in my throat"....

A woman in my state had it and posted about it on social media. Guess when she tested positive (she posted her letter confirming positive) she only had a few symptoms like loss of taste and smell and getting chills for 2 days.

Incubation is what 2 weeks?
How long is it contagious for? 3 weeks? 4? 5?
How long does it take to get better and not be sick anymore?

I've never seen anyone talk about these...

depends where you live some places require two negative tests done 24h apart before people are allowed to "mingle" and by mingle (in most places means going out only for necessities or exercise and keeping 6' from others (i.e. follow the restrictions for everyone else).

not necessarily

Quote:

I don't think there will ever be an old normal, but what ever happens there will be a new normal. What happens, what people accept and how people will act will determine that new normal will be (with or without a vaccine)
