Agreed. 2020 isn’t even half way over yet and it’s been one of the best years with all the great box sets, new films, and now the Wonder Woman TV Series.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman telefilm gets a Warner Archive Blu release to coincide with this or the WW84 release date.

Very cool - I'm picking this up straight away.
Can I now hold out hope for a Six Million Dollar Man upgrade? That would make my inner 7 year old happy! |

With the exception the Batman 66-68 all TV series since 2011 have been in DTS-HD MA from Warner. I remember Nikita being ne of the 1st titles to be DTS-HD MA 5.1 I honestly assumed this would be a WAC release since it is such a niche product. The HD Masters from the DC streaming service have all been 1.33:1 aspect ratio and they look very good even in low bit rate streaming. Massive upgrade from the SD versions. |

Saw the show as a kid when it was first telecast and enjoyed revisiting it during reruns over the past several years in my area. And yes, of course the show is dated now but Lynda Carter's beauteous and charming presence makes it highly watchable (I'm convinced Carter didn't have a bad photographic angle; there's never even a shot in the entire series where she looks less than stunning).
I had to laugh watching the first season episode "Beauty on Parade". Carter as Diana Prince volunteers to go undercover as a beauty pageant contestant to infiltrate a ring of Nazi Saboteurs and Major Trevor laughs off the idea, before actually telling her she doesn't have the looks or figure for a beauty queen...absolute proof that Steve Trevor was the dumbest man on '70s television. ![]() |

I don't want to overstate this BD announcement but...this is the greatest news in the history of the world.

EDIT: I also see that Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! was actually issued on 4xBD-25 (!), much as The New Scooby-Doo Movies was issued on 2xBD-50 despite both series having over 900 minutes of 1080p video content. Now I'm even more worried that there could be 3 or more BD-25 discs in this upcoming Wonder Woman release. And as a consequence, both Scooby-Doo releases have a video bitrate of only 10 Mbps, which is roughly 1/4 of the maximum video bitrate Blu-ray is capable of, and much closer to streaming service video bitrates. That's why I would have strongly preferred this to be a WAC encode, because the episodes would definitely have lossless mono and there would probably be at least a couple more discs in the set to allow for a higher video bitrate. I hope not, because we're probably a long ways from a new Superman movie at this point (probably 5 to 10 years).

As others have noted, that is probably going to be a long wait. I think they would be better off coinciding it with the Superman & Lois tv show coming up.
