What type of recording/mix is this? Is it more studio like (right off the soundboard and not trying to recreate a gimmicky live setting), or is it trying to recreate a gimmicky sense of actualy being in the crowd? I realy hope the former.

While I only own 1 (Foo Fighters), I do enjoy the concerts on blu and would definitely like to add more to my collection. Gotta love the sound quality!

VR was recorded in '04 when the debut album came out, not '06. There was also a Disturbed show on HDNet which probably will never make it to Blu-ray either.

I have quite a few music blu-rays, including Foo Fighters, Elton John, Queen, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Incubus, Blue Man Group, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, The Police, Tenacious D and Toto. I've also made quite a few AVCHD discs from HD broadcasts, including the VR and Disturbed mentioned above, as well as Styx, Alanis Morissette, System of a Down, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megadeth, Metallica, Weezer, the Buzzcocks, Carbon/Silicon, Peter Frampton and Godsmack. They may not be up to total blu-ray quality but they're just about as good as the original broadcasts (or in some cases, their DVD counterparts) which is better than nothing.

Man what HD channel you getting concerts like that on?
On my PVR I have The Tragically Hip One Night In Toronto in HD, I should get a DVR to get it off there.

I don't have many concert DVDs in my collection, but I will be double-dipping to get Asia's Fantasia Live in Tokyo BD coming out next week.

Queen was my #1 band growing up in the early '70s. I own everything they have ever released. Sadly, the BD you mention is quite poor.

Queen Live at Wembley Stadium upconverted was a better experience for me. Better photography and directing and SHOW.

IMHO
