The BB here has shrunk its media section so bad, they don't carry much. Most of what I buy now is online, except for new releases sometimes. Have only gotten damage products about three times.

The nostalgia. It wasn't just buying movies. They also had a lot of other items as well. Especially if you are into anime and cinema.

Best Buy lied to me. They told me an item was in-stock to pick up immediately on Thursday and I won't be getting it till this Friday.

Memories going there growing up. Sad day when it closed. 😥

I still have dreams about going to Suncoast. It feels like so long ago.

I remember accidentally buying a hentai movie there at Suncoast (because you know, they are big on the whole otaku culture). Looking back now, I feel embarrassed, because the clerk knew. @ myself.

Ah Suncoast. Their little sign at the front of the store that showed when movies were expected to release on video was so helpful and gave me something to look forward to (keep in mind the Internet was still somewhat new and some didn’t have it at home yet).

Yep, I remember you could always reserve a movie for $5 and they would put to the side when you went to pick it up. They always had stacks behind the counter for all the reserves.

So much nostalgia. I used to go to Suncoast, which was further away, Record Town which was just downtown at the mall, and they also had a Camelot at the mall too. God, I miss video stores.

I loved the one that used to be at Pentagon Mall, in Arlington Virginia - sadly neither the store, or the movie theater (great 8-channel SDDS sound system on the largest screen) are there any more

In the '90s, I bought a ton of theatrical posters and widescreen VHS from Suncoast. Pretty sure that's where I bought my X-Files and Blues Brothers t-shirts, too.

I would say if it were possible, have a special system for these idiots. Some kind of waiver where if they contract CO-VID 19 through a direct result of their own blatant stupidity, they forfeit the right to medical treatment for the virus.

Man, that was the only thing good about going to the mall. They always had everything in stock. You were gonna be broke getting what you wanted but they had it.

And things are gonna get worse since the Brazilian president has long denied that Covid-19 is a problem.

My local theatre is opening Friday with Trolls World Tour, I Still Believe, The Wretched, Bloodshot, Twilight, and American Sniper. Looks like they'll be on 2 screens each which is only about half their screens.

Study Shows 70% of Consumers Would Rather Watch New Movies at Home

In a new study, a whopping 70% of respondents say they'd rather see a first-run feature as a digital rental at home even if it's also playing in a movie theater. Just 13% would go to the theater instead.

If that survey had been taken a year ago and not during a pandemic where most people should be staying at home the majority of the time, more people would vote that they'd rather go to the theater.
