All the Baltimore Walmart’s have started least 5 copies in each store, not sure about everywhere else but Walmart still has tons of copies

I got it from DMC back in April. Could be a stock issue?

Shout! confirmed on Twitter that it’s taking longer than normal for stock to replenish due to the current climate.

Aside from what had been announced as going OOP in 2020, everything else is just in short supply at the moment.

Not everything. Disney will keep in print any franchise titles like Avatar as they have the Star Wars titles. And unless they decide to bury the Fox Marvel titles in favor of whatever plans Marvel has for the future of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, those franchises may still be around. And certainly some of the more popular family titles like The Sound of Music will stick around.

Boutique label licensing is unlikely. Disney has done it in the past, most prominently with Kino. The Kino deal was for non-mainstream Disney titles, like those from ABC Pictures and Touchstone. If Disney treats their Fox catalog similarly, they may license them out some time in the future, but I wouldn't count on it.

Try Walmart. Pretty sure the double pack is $12.96 there in store. I passed it up only because I hate the 2nd one but love the first one, lol. Good luck!

Does anyone know if they'll ever restock some of those Lionsgate titles? I've been looking everywhere for a decent price on The Faculty (1998) and still, no luck.

Is it OOP? If so, do you think maybe Shout Factory or another company will re-release it?

Same thing happened with The Crow (1994) and Predator 1 & 2.

Thanks

"The Faculty" is a Miramax title, and Lionsgate and Miramax no longer have a distribution deal. So that one is not coming back. The Crow is also Miramax, so same boat. Miramax is now partnered with Paramount, so hopefully Paramount will issue these at some point.

Predator 1 and 2 are 20th Century Fox films, and Predator is one of Fox's bigger franchises, so they will likely remain in print (or be "reissued" by Disney with new cover art, which looks to already be happening for Rocky Horror Picture Show, another of Fox's more popular titles).

US releases of Black Mask were of a redited and Eng dubbed version prepared by Artisan for the 2002 US theatrical release. I suspect Lionsgate's rights expired which explains it going OOP, and is probably with Fortune Star now. The Hong Kong Blu is the longer uncut version and the transfer is proper HD and pretty decent looking.

Possibly, but there is no real telling right now with so much delay in getting more discs pressed and to stores. But it is Fox, which just got gobbled up by the Mouse, so it's probable.

Where did you find out about the RHPS being reissued by BVHE?

There's a preorder up at Target (maybe elsewhere too, haven't looked) with new Disney-style cover art.

It’s one of the most popular Fox titles so I’m not surprised Disney is reissuing it. It’s also the only film from the Fox catalog they’ve allowed theaters to show. Everything else has been unavailable since they got the rights.

Would have been shocking if they didn't. Rocky Horror is one of the most profitable movies in history: cost $1.4 million, made $140 million at the box office. Plus all the DVD's & Blu's Fox has sold over the past 20 years.

Dr. Frank N. Furter is officially a Disney princess!
