Excellent news. The old BD is off a HD DVD master that is something like 12-15 GB for the entire film if I remember correctly. It desperately needs an upgrade. Does anyone know if this had a DI, or was it finished on film?

Hated this and Watchmen and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen and From Hell. I think the only cinematic works that made Alan Moore proud were The Dark Knight and Joker. At least they respected what Moore was doing.

It's been quite awhile since I read it, but recall the graphic novel being fairly different from the movie. I think both are excellent though.

I don't see how The Dark Knight and Joker relate to The Killing Joke. Moore had nothing to do with either, as far as I know.
Phillips used The Killing Joke for inspiration, but I don't think there's an official credit of that. I'm not 100% though.

It's too bad that you hate this movie. It's excellent if you give it a chance.

Having never read the graphic novel, I thought that A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was really enjoyable. I know that Alan Moore hated it and it made Sean Connery retire though

I always thought this movie was good but so flawed, and finally reading the graphic novel this year made it more obvious. May get it in 4K if I can find a good discount, but really not sure.

Stupid but really fun, and should be taken that way. I enjoyed it as exactly that.
