I'm sure Paramount's *financial* statements over the next couple of quarters will be significantly better over the next couple of quarters than it would have been if they had not gotten an influx of $150 million. My point was not that I was/am against Halo showing up on Windows and Xbox. My point was that Microsoft used its checking account to remove an option for users. If Microsoft had bought Bungie and added Windows and Xbox support and kept Mac support then I'd have supported their move. They did not. They killed off the Mac development and intentionally threw out all Mac specific efforts already completed. IMNSHO Bungie should have made Halo cross platform from the start. However, what Microsoft did with Bungie is, as I see it, similar to what they did with Paramount. Microsoft used its check book to make a product available in Microsoft's preferred format *ONLY*. |
