It’s no longer up to the studios...


It is, (I assume), because IMAX now has patented “IMAX Enhanced”, which means the studio can’t use the IMAX scenes without paying licensing fees and following the specs, which include 4K/UHD, and using DTS:X for the IMAX enhanced audio, ...3D is not part of the spec. Most studios are licensing Dolby Atmos for audio on 4K/UHD discs, so, basically...

this means no more IMAX scenes in any 3D releases

...Avengers Endgame, and Marvel titles released after this, are no longer with IMAX ratio scenes on the 3D discs like they used to be.

Basically IMAX, being greedy, has killed it for us.

Not really, the spec is only for 4K/UHD, so it won’t help us get IMAX ratios back on 3D discs.

I ordered this on April 4. It is still yet to ship from Amazon. It is supposed to arrive on the 25th. Although, I have my doubts that it will arrive then. I can't wait to see the 3D in this 3D blu-ray.

This movie was all about getting into the vault with the crown jewels. Obviously this was Happy's plan all along.

Like all Amazon, certain things will not ship to certain places at certain times.


This seems to change daily and differently for each item. AmazonUK allows plenty of stuff to be ordered from the US, but this isn't one of them (today)
