Is it cheaper to get each one individually or the box set?

All these years later I still can't imagine anyone actually being upset about Batman & Robin. It's totally harmless, tongue in cheek fun. While always preferring Batman Forever (which is underrated itself), I can still have a good time with B&R. I'd muuuuuch rather watch it that BvS or Justice League.

Just ordered the 4K set and looking forward to revisiting all of them.

I vividly remember my dad not talking all the way home in the car after seeing B&R.

The world wasn’t ready for it. I find it a bit of a guilty pleasure now. It does look fantastic on UHD.

In retrospect I mostly agree with you-- now that the movie isn't figuratively watching the Batman franchise being flushed down the toilet, I actually kind of enjoy watching it. It's still hard for me to sit through the whole way through, though, and I think in terms of campy fun the Adam West film from the 60's is a much better choice. But, yeah, it's fun to watch and marvel at the hyper-absurdity of the whole thing.

Yes! That was the first Batman movie I convinced my dad to take us to theatrically and I could tell he hated every minute of it.

I'm excited to see the new transfer. It should look pretty wild.

At least half the movie is a cartoon and I love it for that. The soundtrack is just as bonkers.

That entire scene at the diamond-auction, with the ripped gold-painted drummers and the reveal of Poison Ivy in a gorilla costume, looks like somebody's shroom-induced fever dream. I hated all of it at the time, but there wasn't really anything I've ever seen like that before, so I have to give it some credit there.

By the time we get to Batgirl, though, I really start to burn out on the film. The flashy colors and Schwarzenegger's non-stop barrage of dad-jokes about ice start getting tiresome and finishing the movie kind of feels like a chore. IMO it needed a bit more editing to get the runtime under 2-hours.

It's one of my favorite movies now, but there was a long stretch where I hated it with a passion.

And knowing what I know now about the production, I can confidently say that neither Schumacher or Clooney were responsible for the death of the franchise. WB was directly responsible, and they did the same thing nearly 20 years later as well.

Boxset is all yours for £32 including delivery at Amazon Italy if you don't mind s little bit of Italian writing on the artwork.

£8 per film is what I was willing to pay at max and that moment had arrived

Weird, but I actually kind of enjoy Batman & Robin more than Batman Forever.

Been wanting to pick these up for awhile and was hoping the boxset might be discounted to around the £45 mark so this is even better

The sheer amount of ADR on Batman Forever gives it a very cartoony feel as well. I'm not sure I've ever seen a movie with as much obvious ADR.

I'll have to check that out. Any obvious line changes or do you think the set was so noisy?

I honestly don't know. Part of me thinks Schumacher liked the surreal quality that ADR can sometimes add.

I once made a movie where we ADR'd the whole thing because we were young and stupid and thought that's the way Hollywood did it. And we all sounded like Aunt Beru because of it lol

That's funny, for a long time ADR was always something I noticed, even if it was well done. I think I've mostly gotten over it.

B&R you just have to know what you're getting into and then you can enjoy it for what it is, as well as the amazing colors and HDR. I do genuinely enjoy Forever though.
