With what is going on right now you can expect delays of up to 4 weeks. Although some orders are still going through normally others have been held up way beyond normal. There has also been this new recent issue of packages being listed in "pre-shipment" and not tracking at all. However they are eventually turning up as well. So with this new norm involves much longer waiting times for shipments even first class and we are asking customers not to prematurely contact us. Hopefully this will not continue to be an issue as it has already lead to the suspension of all international orders.

BLUE MONKEY was an extremely expensive release. It was expensive for CODE RED to purchase the movie initially. The transfer and color correction was very expensive because it was done from the original 35mm camera negative. And of course the stunning looking custom slipcover we created was not cheap either. It does not contain any special extras but no one of significance that was involved with the movie wanted to do one. Conversely no one is likely to argue about the extremely low price of $12.99 that will be on the next Drive-In double feature that will have 2 cool lost 70's kung-fu titles on a blu-ray BD50. Once BLUE MONKEY/INSECT is gone it will likely hold or increase in value. It is a solid release.

Just wanted to say thank you Dark Force for releasing some of the gems I've been wishing for. Been wanting Primal Rage, Blue Monkey and the Mirror Mirror films on blu for a while. Even Breeders was a gem I'm happy is out.

I was thinking about it as a blind buy as well but the price with shipping put me off.

I’m glad I committed to buy INSECT during its’ initial release, because that additional $6 shipping fee on top of the movies price would have pushed me to skip purchasing it.

The USPS is also a jobs and welfare program, like many other federal programs, for rural America. Every town has its own postmaster and carriers. If it were ran like a business it would eliminate a post office every other town and reduce delivery to fewer than 6 days a week, or require people to drop off mail at the post office instead of at the own mail box. Unfortunately, Congress won't allow them to do that.

If the USPS is eliminated, you can bet that UPS and FedEx will get substantial subsidies to cover rural America, at a price that outweighs the current USPS costs.

I don't remember paying $35 for my copy. I'll have to check my Paypal history to verify but, yeah, no way I would've paid that much. Why the price increase? Did Dave's condo rent go up?

Shipping was $4 two weeks ago and if you ordered just Blue Monkey, the total cost was $38.

Holy Moses you're right. I just checked and I actually paid $38.95 for Blue Monkey. Now I know what happened: it was during one of those unexpected early morning store openings, where I must've placed a panic order fearing the store would close at any minute. Dave, I hope you know your fancy lifestyle is costing us blue collars OUR rent money

I ordered Primal Rage and Blue Monkey for around $66 total with shipping. I normally wouldn’t pay that much, but seeing Bill in that recent video made me want to help him out.

I would’ve sprung for the club but it was a lot of money without having a good sense of what was coming out. Every other release I wish I had done it, the ones in between I’m glad I didn’t.

If the club came back and let me pick some existing releases upfront to include (e.g. 1:1 special release and drive-in release) I’d probably go for it. I feel confident at this time that Dark Force will survive as a company despite COVID-19.

My blue monkey pack has been sitting in pre-shipment in West Hollywood. Since the 21st of July. I know the post office often does not scan anything until it arrives in the area the package is headed for, so I am hoping it lands sometime this week.

If you buy every other release , meaning the more expensive "big" releases,.you will end up spending the same you would have for the club anyway except you'll have half the blus to show for it.

Exactly! That’s why I’m hoping the club comes back.

You're the third person today, including me, who is reporting that a package scanned on July 21st hasn't indicated any further progress.

Sooo, pessimism and anxiety convinced me to order another copy as the first Blue Monkey I purchased now over two weeks ago is also AWOL. No doubt lost or destroyed forever.

If it shows up I’ll just sell it but now I’m seriously wondering if Dark Force would take extra $$ PayPal for priority express shipping.

I really want to watch the movie
