Don't forget how they oiled each other up for battle or was it for fun?

Live Free and Die Hard was good. They mainly cut out the swearing, the action was still there. Plus you have to look at the rating system when the first Die Hard came out in 1988. The system is a lot more leaner the last 20 years. As long as T4 is action packed and a good story, I can careless if they rated the movie G.

I won't be seeing this, I hated Rise of the Machines and I doubt another movie on the same premise by THIS director will be much better.

Don't get me wrong, i still liked LFDH, i just thought the action was a little out there (still enjoyable to watch though). For example: the fighter jet scene at the end was just too weird to me. Also, when he shoots himself to shoot the bullet already inside of him to get the bad guy, it didn't feel realistic to me. Honestly, i can't think of anything they could have done differently for the film to stand out, but i still prefer Die Hard with a Vengeance to this one. (PS. the sniper guy was bad ass )

You can say something like that about all four really.

[Show spoiler]Part 1: Uses C4 blows up half the building but the buildings stays intact. Ties a firehose around his waste and jumps off the buildings and does not cut himself in half (I know a guy that tried to argue you can successfully do this, but turned down my offer to try this at work).

Part 2: The fight on the wing of the plane. Lights the Jet fuel on fore at the end.

Part 3: Finds the bad Guys by the bottom of the asprin bottle. The sign he wears to harlem and shoots the electric box at the end.

Point all four were outrageous, but fun.

Well as long as the boobie scene is on the Blu-ray, that's all that matters to me.

Sorry, i'm only 16 and it's hard for me to reminisce about the first 3 films. Those are good points though.

What a shame. But I'm not surprised. Gotta pack the kiddies into the theater.

i dont care if its pg-13
you can get away with a fair amount of violence and the like in pg-13 these days
this movie seems to me like it will still have alot of violence, just maybe not the stuff like the blade through the head and dripping blood etc.

edit: also, if the ONLY reason it would be rated R is because mcG wanted boobs, i would be pissed off, because that's just stupid, having boobs just for the hell of having boobs, now if it had context to the scene/movie, that would be different
I totally agree, yearning for that 2 second boob shot just for the sake of wanting to see nudity without context is very immature and disparate. You want to see nudity....well!! use the freaking internet which offers plenty.......and NO!!! I WILL NOT RELINQUISH MY MAN CARD! YOU CAN TAKE MY MAN CARD ... WHEN YOU PRY IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!!!!

;D

I see a PG13 theatrical release as 1)get's the young(er) teens in the theaters, 2)setsup the BD and future releases of the R rated/unrated Directors cut/Collectors Edition/Platinum triple dip edition, I can go on...

Like the rest, can't say I'm surprised it will be PG-13.

PG-13 for the theater to rake in the ca$h

Unrated Directors Cut on Blu-ray/dvd to rake in more ca$h

We've been through this before..

I was disappointed in Live Free or Die Hard being pg-13 just because I felt like the unnecessary swearing was a part of who John McClane was. It didn't feel like him without it. I think Terminator:Salavation will be ok with the pg-13 rating because we've already seen terminator with a PG rating on tv every friday.

Hopefully it's R. The Terminator preview during Watchmen had a R rating.

That's going to be dumb. That means all the cussing is gone. Seriously...if you fighting giant machines in a war-torn world, are you going to be screaming "Get the frick down!" or "Get the f*** down!" Imagine you're in this place. Robot comes up to you with multiple weapons drawn, you're first though? "F***!"

And, I have to agree with Rblu-Dblu's sig, the fact that they edited out John McClaine's MF from the yippy-kai-yay line is unforgiveable. It was a PG-13 movie. You are allowed to say f*** once in a PG-13 movie.

What I don't get is that it's being implied that a boob shot will get it an R rating, but the #1 grossing movie ever, Titanic, had quite the boob shots from Ms. Winslet.
