The one Scream Factory release that annoys me is the cut version of Scream fir Help. I did an edit reinserting the cut scenes from the VHS but I am sure this one isn't staying in print long.

Somewhat surprised The Relic isn't a CE given it's had a prior release. Hopefully they can give it a new transfer in any case.

I’d pick up The Relic depending on what if any new features they add. That’s one I’ve always really liked.

Picked up Graveyard Shift. Blind buy. Always wanted to see it but never came across on TV and never liked bare bones DVDs. I really liked it, great extras too. Also have Phantom of the Opera preordered.

Why Shout/Scream couldn't have just announced these this past week is beyond me, instead they get leaked. This happens way too often, why do they insist on waiting so late on a lot of their announcements that sites like Amazon and Target, etc. end up leaking the announcements. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Of course it makes sense. A "leak" is much better at stirring up a panic than an official announcement so from a marketing standpoint this is a fantastic move. FOMO and the threat of huge prices on ebay urge people to buy right now which results in a lot of sales in very little time. It took less than a day for TTCM2 to sell out at Shout! and everywhere else, and both Mad Max & EFNY followed shortly after. The others will most likely be gone by next week.

Now that Paramount has access to the Miramax library, could we possibly see them work with SF to put out new Steelbooks for H6, H20, and Resurrection? I would love to have matching Steelbooks to go alongside II and III.

What difference does it make? A preorder with a date, is still a preorder with a date.
On the flip side KL announced Deep Star Six a few weeks ago, and there’s still no preorder.
Maybe SF still had contracts to sign? Maybe with everything going on in the world they don’t know if everything can be done in time? Of course if they do make an announcement and it gets delayed, for whatever reason, the pitchforks come out.
So as history has shown us, SF are Damn if they do/damned if they don’t. Now with that in mind they will just continue to make what they consider good business decisions.
They have been going strong for years and continue to be going strong...so I’m guessing it’s working out well.

KL has had DSS up for pre-order on their site most of a week. I almost ordered it but they don't take Paypal on pre-orders. I don't know why that mattered to me at the time, but it did. I'll probably grab that and the Rawhead steelbook from their site. I don't see Amazon being cheaper than $17.50.
