Spider-Man 2 - Firing up the singularity machine.
Babylon AD - Opening sequence where he goes to get his money back for the gun. Great LFE on the song playing. I smelled my sub amp on that one, had to turn it down quick.

I have to say that the plane flying overhead as well as the helicopter landing near the beginning of Slumdog Millionaire were making my house shake as much as anything else I've watched. There was a surprising amount of deep bass through the whole movie, too. Of course, I have a lot of movie re-watching to do now that I have my new subwoofers (pair of Axiom EP800s), and I get to try again once I have the upcoming SVS sub EQ, and then I get to try again after that when I'm finally able to move my system into a more appropriate room and see what bass traps do for me.

Bolt had a lot of good bass, too. The part that sticks out most in my mind right now is the scene with the train. It felt like a train was actually going by.

Ohhhhh, during the Polar Bear fight, which is quite possibly one of my favorite scenes, the LFE is nuts.

No, but the DTS sound on the DVD is quite possibly some of the best sound on any DVD out there, perhaps rivaling some of a few Blu-rays.

Its one of my favorite DVDs - and a testbench for audio in quite a few scenes that you'll know when you watch it!

My favorite is Live Free of Die Hard....there are many scenes in this movie, but my favorite is the chase scene with the tractor trailer towards the end of the movie. Seems to be non-stop deep base in this scene.

Only had the gain clocked to 9 o'clock. But it's an old sub. I'm looking into an upgrade soon. But yeah, I started freaking out, and smelling all my gear till I could find the source. It was blowing out the port on my sub. Kinda freaky.

DVD - The Incredibles

Plenty of scenes with subsonic information below 10Hz in that one!! Can't wait for it to come out on Blu-ray, same for War of the Worlds.

The second chapter of Bolt "5 Years Later" has some great LFE!

Some standout pieces are:
  • Some nice low bass thuds during the introduction
  • When Bolt head butts the car and it flips over Penny and crashes
  • When Bolt jumps over the helicopter and the missile hits it (x3)
  • and of course... Super Bark!
