I still wouldn't be surprised if Nickelodeon had something to do with this. Sure they weren't mentioned, but I mean would you burn the bridge with the company that literally has your life work under an iron grip? Nick has a notorious history trying to screw over these two and their shows, despite the fact that Avatar and Korra are Nick's most popular and acclaimed series (with them still being the only animated Nickelodeon shows on Blu-ray).

Frankly, looking at how Korra turned out after the excellent season 1 then it turned into complete garbage. I'm not too stressed if the original creator's aren't involved. If it's rubbish then i'll disregaud it, if it's great i'll love it

Korra turned to garbage? Thats news to me.
![]() The later seasons of Korra were still awesome despite not reaching Avatar level. |

Season three was my favorite. Awesome from beginning to end. Avatar is amazing but on its own Korra is still great. I honestly don't recall fans really hating it that much when it aired. I blame some of the quality issues with the series on Nickelodeon anyways as they kept cutting their budget. That is the big reason season four didn't end as good as it started. There was an episodes that they basically turned into a clip show cause of the budget. |

It's been old news how Nickelodeon screwed them over during Korra's production and release.

I am a really big fan of Avatar: The last Airbender. The animated series is perfect as it is.
So I am skeptical about a live action series. Like a lot of people mentioned before, Netflix do not make the best live action movies. For example the Death Note movie was not so as the series. And I think the same thing will happen to Avatar. But I give Netflix a chance. Because they can suprise me. I am optimistic that the live action Avatar will be good. ![]() |

Interesting development with Nickelodeon and with DiMartino and Konietzko involved. Kind of leaves confusion with competing Netflix project.

Since there is a new Avatar universe coming with the original creators like all fans want I can honestly say anyone who likes Avatar gives absolutely no shits what Netflix does now. The only people that will watch it or might enjoy it are people new to the franchise. Sad really. At least fans get what Avatar fans have always wanted. Can't wait to see what DiMartino and Konietzko do.
