Now if Lost were even half as good as BSG, I'd hack on him a bit for it, but all Lost does is ask questions, and more questions, and then they go back to the original questions and ask more questions about them.

Plus there's the ever so fun bits about "Hey, someone we know got kidnapped, let's all sit around on the beach and let things sort themselves out about it" that really made no sense when you looked at them later.

I made it through the entire first season before realizing that all that Lost will ever do is keep asking questions and setting up pointless plotlines that look as if they got a group of writers together and set up a wall of plot ideas and got each one of them to throw a dart at said wall, whatever the darts hit, they put in the show.

Like Sea Manatees but with less intelligence.

I think it was announced in season 2 or 3 that they will end after 6 seasons.

Back on topic, I TRIED to enjoy Dollhouse but it's so damn boring. The first episode or two were kinda cool but comapred to: Firefly, Angel, Buffy...I can't help but feel shortchanged. I love the premise of it, but it's incredibly boring. I gave up on the show 2 weeks ago when I realized the show is going nowhere.

No. The show will end next year with season 6. It's scheduled to be a 17 episode season. After season 3, they announced that the show would go for 3 more seasons, 16 episodes each. The writers strike caused season 4 to be shortened to 14 episodes. So, they extended seasons 5 and 6 by one episode each to make up for it.

I have mixed feelings on it. As much as I'll miss it (it's one of my top 3 all time faves), I can't wait to have the complete series on blu so I can watch it start to finish like one long fantastic movie. But damn will I miss it....

And back on topic, I gotta say that you've convinced me to check out Chuck on video this summer regardless of whether it gets renewed or not. As long as it has an ending of sorts just in case, like Jericho season 2. While it did leave the possibility of future seasons open, it also wrapped up season 1's cliffhanger and gave us a semblance of closure. And that's all I ask.

The big problem I see with TV shows these days are the following :

Too many network and channels. Back 25 to 30 years ago Neilsen ratings had some meanings since they were calculated from very limited TV channels. Of course the numbers watching All In The Family or MASH or Happy Days were huge, there were no other options. Now a days CBS, NBC, ABC no longer rule alone, with the tons of possibilities out there it spread's out the numbers. What they should do is stop using the numbers for 30 years ago as to what make's a succesful show and revise it for today's world.

DVD or BD. Many people are tired of network messing around with the broadcasting of their favorite show, it's on Monday night at 9 pm one week, then Sunday at 8 pm, to finaly go to Thursday at 10 pm. It's annoying! So let's wait for the series to be on DVD or BD and watch it when we want it too and as often as we want it too. But if you got quite a good numbers of viewers doing this, you end up with shows that get cancel.

Also certain networks are just not the right place for certain shows. I understand the appeal for studios to want their shows on ABC, NBC, CBS or FOX, more exposure and thus more money. Problem is, a show like Chuck for example, how is it very likely to appeal to huge mass of the viewing audience on NBC? Or Battlestar Galactica? With channels like scifi and others this is where these show should be and evaluated for their success, not on ABC where 70% of the viewers are grandma and grandpa who want the Golden Girls, Matlock or more showing of American Funniest Video.

The big cheese need to review how and where they release their shows, until that time a lot more shows will get cancel within 1 or 2 seasons, making more and more fans angry and driving them more and more away from watching the next series of TV shows, what's the point they will cancel it anyway?

Which shows change each week as you say? I watch the following shows: Lost, The Office, Supernatural, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Lie To Me, Hell's Kitchen, Parks and Recreation (starting this Thurs), and maybe 1 or 2 others. None of these shows juggle their start times/days. The only exception is when there is a major event like a new president, superbowl sunday...etc. The closest I can think of? When a show takes a week or two off...but I have no idea what ur talking about

I live in freakin Chicago and I can't even pick up the digital signal for this network (and neither can my friends/ we dont use cable/satellite). The only CBS shows I have ever watched are Jericho and The Big Bang Theory......

I'm about to the point of just giving up on tv. I will wait until every show i watch comes out on Blu, because you find a new show and you love it and than either a few episodes in or one season in, it gets canceled. What is the point of getting attached to a good show that just ends for no reason than poor network management?

Here's another nail in the coffin for Reaper, and probably the final one.........

Duo that created CW's paranormal comedy sign new deal with rival studio; departure likely means Reaper won't be back.

It isn't a good sign for a show when the two people who created it and executive produce it decide to sign a deal with a rival studio. That's pretty much what happened to Reaper today, as Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters have signed a deal to develop television shows for 20th Century Fox TV, says The Hollywood Reporter.

With Fazekas and Butters out of the picture, it looks like Reaper is almost definitely a goner. The show's future has been in question since it returned for its second season and put up disappointing numbers, and was one of the 10 shows we figured might get canceled this year… much to our chagrin.

But don't blame Fazekas and Butters--word probably came down from The CW that their services wouldn't be needed for more Reaper.

Reaper, produced by ABC Studios for the CW, was one of 2007's most critically acclaimed new shows, but floundered in the ratings department. It just made the cut for renewal for a second season, but was pretty much crushed by the reality programs it was up against.

There's still no official announcement of the show's cancellation, but it would take a miracle to see this get another shot.

I'm tired and frustrated with getting hooked on shows just for the damn network to cancel them. Why bother watching anymore. There are way to many options for people with cable and satellite to get real numbers on viewers and why doesn't recorded episodes get counted. How many people watch shows when they want to and zap the commercials. Networks, try this, leave the shows in their time slots where people get use to watching them.
