Highlight it by clicking it, go to Effects Control and under the Video Effects Option I would mess with the Scale (default is 100) and adjust it to 102-105 depending on how badly formatted the scene is.
How did you extract the movie directly from the Blu-Ray?

We don't discuss that here.

Holy crap, it actually worked. Thanks.

Pop it into a PC with a Blu-ray drive. Grab some software that will rip your disc, and you're off to the races.

Man, I love the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films so watching the newer cuts really felt a brand new experience to me.

Spider-Man 3 was definitely the one that needed the most and I wholeheartedly prefer the Editor's Cut over the standard one. Shame there was never a Spider-Man 4.

No matter how many Spider-Man movies are made, Spider-Man 2 (2.1 now) will always be my favorite superhero/spidey flick.

Agreed, I can't even watch the Theatrical Cut anymore unless I watch the fan edit I made where I merged the two cuts together.

I do prefer the Theatrical Cut of Spider-Man 2 over 2.1 though.

Can you explain why? Just curious.

J.K. Simmons as Spider-Man makes me laugh every single time!

Wasn't directed at me, but I'll chime in anyway:

I really like that scene too, but as a catch I felt it kind of blows a later sight gag, when it cuts to the shot of the suit hanging up on his wall. 2.1 also has some alternate takes that aren't bad, but I probably prefer the theatrical cut for, like the opening scene at the Pizza shop, and the elevator scene. Plus I feel all of the other little extended scenes and moments don't amount to much.

It was pretty much admitted at the time by Raimi that the 2.1 version was just an excuse to sell a new DVD of the movie when Spider-Man 3 was coming out. It's not a bad version of the movie at all, but if I had to pick only one version, I'd go with the theatrical cut, which is also the director's cut. But since we have the option for both anyway, I pretty much just alternate which version I watch when I rewatch the trilogy (same with Spider-Man 3 theatrical and editor's cuts).

They replaced Mr. Aziz's "Gooooo!"

The elevator scene in the Theatrical Version was better.

The overall look of the film was better in the Theatrical Version (they remastered the film for the 2.1 release).

The scene with Mary Jane and her friend was a little too chick flicky for my liking. The scene of her trying to imitate the upside down kiss with John pretty much conveyed the same message except that Mary Jane comes to that decision on her own as opposed to her coming to it after her friend calls her out on it.

While the Jameson scene was funny, it felt more like a blooper than a scene that should be in the movie.

Do the digital codes in this set still redeem fine? I'm looking to buy this set on amazon or maybe ebay, but I really want the digital versions with it

Did anyone else have issues with the Spider-Man 3 4K disc?

At around 50 minutes in I got some digital artifacts that look like what happens when a TV channel has poor signal strength and it looks all glitchy as well as the film stuttering. And at the scene where Sandman and Venom first meet it froze up completely and skipped to the next chapter on its own.

I bought it brand new sealed from eBay, but I think it’s more likely that there is an authoring error as my disc is in perfect condition. I’m attempting to reach out to Sony Home Entertainment Support to see if there’s a chance to get a replacement disc.

Yes, exactly like that as well as stuttering at the same time, like freezing and unfreezing.

When it froze up completely, it was after I had switched players to test if it worked correctly outside of my Xbox.

I use my Xbox One X and I have a Philips 4K player as well. It seemed to play fine other than the freeze up on the Philips player, but the issue persists on the Xbox.

I definitely think it’s the disc authoring here rather than the players.

No idea, this is honestly the first time I’ve ever had an issue with a Sony disc. Gonna take a shot with it myself though, couldn’t hurt.
