I guess, if these really were meaning commentaries, they would have listed more than one of the 2.0 tracks (as each movie has actually two of the commentaries).

Actually, Jaws is a good example: in Germany, there was a specific disc for the German market (containing German and English in Atmos), but it still did contain the English mono.
Sure, NBCUEJ just put up a dedicated webpage:

https://www.bttf-35th.jp/

As for the Japanese poster SteelBooks, I think they look really great and I would buy an edition with a US disc I didn't have yet if Universal ever tried to release them here. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening over here, but maybe they might try them in the UK and/or Australia.

Aaah, nice. The artwork looks like the Italian digipak.

Well, as long as they don't use this poster:

I think they will produce more copies.. for france and italy.. and UK set is not yet available . 2 months to go for actual products and everything is sold out.. its strange

It will be. No doubt October 19th. They’re just slow to announce U.K. releases as usual. We’re always last on the pre-orders! Expect it any day now....

I opted for the standard set. Not much of a price difference.

Will Amazon.co.uk even ship to the US currently? They were back to taking orders for a while but now it seems some stuff can't be ordered again. No idea what's going on.

I'm pretty shocked that NBCUEJ doesn't have a fancy set for Japan, as well. There's only the SteelBook set exclusively at Amazon.co.jp, where all signs are that it's the same design available elsewhere.

I'd have thought they'd do a box with a die-cast DeLeorean, at the very least, but perhaps the pandemic is to blame.

Yes! I can't say everything is shipping from them right now, but as of just the last week, they were offering all shipping options again (rather than just Global Priority, which is what they had been doing). It seems like pre-orders in general are dicier and some still aren't shipping, but seems like it's starting to get back to normal.

UK fans - I today spoke with the head of marketing for Universal UK, and he has confirmed that there is exclusive UK artwork for the upcoming 4K 35th Anniversary release, and that is the reason for the delay. Pre-orders will be up soon. He also added this Collector's Edition will have "exclusive parts" and have an intro written by Bob Gale.

As I mentioned - there is a Collector's Edition in the mix. Finally he confirmed he did the cool flux capacitor we had last time. I actually have that Edition they did for the 30th, and the blue steel box for the 25th (that's my fave as it has loads of cool physical goodies) hope this info puts you guys at ease.

Take care.

Well that's my concern - pre-orders. Sounds like the UK might be the one I've been waiting for, but if it's limited, I'll need to pre-order it. I worry that they won't let me.

Totally get that! I’m going to wait to see what the UK set is like and if it’s really worth it and Amazon UK won’t ship to the US, I’ll have it shipped to a UK friend (and cancel the French set).

Well, as long as they don't use this poster:

Are there final Japanese versions for the sequels?

Will be very surprised if the UK set is not the same Time Circuit set complete with extra goodies that was available on Amazon.fr but perhaps instead of steelbooks it might have an alternate artwork digipack but wouldn't be surprised if its the same digipack as other European countries are getting.
