Dollar Tree Movies

I checked 3 stores tonight that had not put their stock out as of this past weekend. Two still didn't have anything out but one finally did. I grabbed a few things, some of which I don't think have been reported:

• The War Within (blu)
• WWE Hell in a Cell 2009 (DVD)
• WWE Summer Slam 2013 (DVD)
• WWE Survivor Series (DVD) -- I mostly got this because it features a match with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt. Slaughter, and Ron Simmons against the Spirit Squad. No idea when this was, but there's also a Chris Benoit match so it must be quite old.
• American Wrestler: The Wizard (DVD) -- I had passed on this in previous waves, but finally grabbed it when I noticed the reviews on IMDb were actually quite good (7.2).
• Dead Man's Shoes (DVD) -- Magnolia
• Wicker Park / The Locusts double feature (DVD)
• March to Freedom (4 disc DVD set - Mill Creek) -- was hoping this would have a Movie Spree code, but no such luck

There was a table of movies right at the entrance of my DT, but 95% DVD, and the few Blus were stuff I had zero interest in. Oh well, at least Beer Nuts are back.

I found two brand new dollar trees which just opened recently. I was all excited, but neither had one single movie in the entire store. One is now the closest store to my house, so I hope it gets movies in the future...

As soon as it starts. Gave up after 5 min of skipping. Was only the picture sound was fine.

I'm about 15 minutes in with no problems so far. I doubt I'll finish it tonight though, so can't guarantee problems won't crop up later.

I bought this a couple of waves back. I plugged my copy in and was able to fast forward all the way through at least the 36 minute mark (didn't try beyond that since it was late and wanted to test around the 18-20 marks). I went back to the 17:30 mark and let it run normally through 21:30 with no problems.

With my copy of The Canyon, I was not even able to fast forward past the bad spot. I also could not go to the chapter AFTER the bad spot (basically anything past the bad spot on that movie would not play).

Hmm, everyone else is having issues, but I'm sure it's from copies from this Wave. Could these discs be the only messed up ones?

I just checked and I don’t see any markings on the disc or case that would help differentiate it from other runs. The disc has catalog number 10095 which I would imagine all of them have. The UPC matches the number in the database here.

It was underwhelming, but given how many waves there have been this year (and how big my watch list is), I'm good with it being one with few pickups. I agree that hopefully we'll see a lull for a couple of months after all these shipments...

I found these at a combo of 3 different Dollar Trees on Monday. Really hoping mine get a shipment tomorrow and I can score that Death Wish 3 pack, Pumpkinhead, or Return of the Living Dead!

I watched this last night from the current wave. I thought his stand-up act was okay. He talks a lot about the ups and downs of his career as well as general interest stuff. He references his old characters and parody songs quite a bit too. It runs about 50 minutes. The real gem of this DVD set is the special feature: 'The History of The Tom Green Show'. It's about 30 minutes long and is full of clips from the show. Tom Green narrates it. It was fun seeing the old clips and hearing the parody songs that I hadn't thought of in years. Worth picking up if you watched the old MTV show or have liked Tom Green in any of his movies. He seems like a nice guy.

- the neat Echo Bridge DVD compilation of Spaghetti Westerns (Massacre Time / Massacre at Grand Canyon / If You Meet Sartana, Pray for Your Death / I Want Him Dead / Dig Your Grave…Sabata Is Coming)

- the DVD of Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn (really fun Charles Band post-apocalypse...meaing-filmed-in-a-rock-quarry movie I still remember the trailer from when I was a kid)

for $1 each.
