Cool so we have a patch next week and a level's kit the week after. And that post calms my fear that we would have to pay for the level's kit update;both the patch and the update are indeed free. Looks like April is the month to get back into Little Big Planet. I also like the pricing of the mythological characters. Very good job all around.

Btw, people who didn't pre-order or get it by other means, are going to be so upset that the Heavenly Sword Pack has been pushed back.

LittleBigPlanet Content Updates For April

It's that time again! Here are the scheduled release dates of additional LittleBigPlanet content for the rest of this month and the start of May.

Those of you who keep an eye on these updates will notice that the Heavenly Sword mini-pack has moved back by two weeks, however in its place is the extremely cool Rag Doll Kung Fu costume pack which now launches on the same day as the game comes to the PlayStation Network Store.

The big news for April however is that the 1.12 "Cornish Yarg" update is being released which provides some new features along with some fixes to problems reported by the community. Also included in this update is Creator Pack 1 which contains some very cool new devices, gizmos and tools to help you build your levels. Should the date for the release of the Cornish Yarg update change we'll inform you ahead of time, but right now it's looking good to go on April 16th and 23rd respectively!

April 9th : Rag Doll Kung Fu Costumes : $5.99/€5.99

To coincide with the release of Rag Doll Kung Fu on the PlayStation Network Store we've put together some great costumes and themed stickers. Contains :

• Hero costume : Hero hair, jacket, trousers, skin
• Master Hip costume : Master Hip trousers, shirt, hair, skin
• Master Sin costume : Master Sin hat, jacket, nails, trousers

This update addresses several outstanding issues with the game :

• There is a new music player which lets players choose their own music from the XMB to play during create mode and in their Pod
• Improved decoration mode makes it easier to customise your Sackboy
• Option to delete all (unhearted) community objects and photos
• Option to select whether to automatically collect community prizes and photos
• A number of improvements have been made to make profiles more robust and to recover from certain errors
• We now support Japanese and Korean IME for text chat.
• Emitter prediction has been improved (this should help fast-moving projectiles e.g. in MGS levels)
• The player proximity switch now has a ‘require all’ option in it
• An option has been added to cycle between various level information when viewing community levels on the earth
• Various LittleBigStore improvements

April 23rd (provisional) : Creator Pack 1 : FREE

A collection of new tools and functions to help aspiring creators:

• Infinite lives checkpoint
• Visibility tweak option on certain joint objects (to hide these in Play mode)
• Global settings object (to trigger lighting changes)
• Tetherless jetpack
• Angle range proximity switch (additional functionality on proximity and magnetic key switches)

April 23rd : Heavenly Sword Mini-Pack : $2.99/€2.99

Contains :

• Nariko costume : Nariko sword, wig, dress
• Kai costume : Kai hat and hair, dress, gloves, boots, skin
• 27 Heavenly Sword theme stickers

April 30th : Egyptian Mythology Mini-Pack : $1.99/€1.99

I did some changes and republished Snow Trek 60119. Changed the music around ( I think it's ok) Added a few more checkpoints. Suicide can get you a lot more points in this level. Just cause you fall. It dosent mean you have to take that route right away. Added a few arrows to let you know there's something near...

What sucks about community levels is. No one takes the time to really learn all the secrets to the level. They play it one time through and thats it. It's not like story mode where it tells you if your 100% or not. I wish MM would add something to tell you your percentage complete on community levels.

that's not true. most ppl i play LBP with, including myself play hte community levels several times over.
it is possible that it's only us who do this, and it is not by any means to get all the items, rather because the level is so fun.

i will say though that if MM ever let ppl create costumes or articles of clothing for the sackboy, things will be very different and levels will begin to have significanly more re-visits to get into those hard to reach nooks.

if yuor level doesn't get re-visits, it's prolly not that great, because the only reason ppl get 100% on the story mode is to make sure they have all the costumes, and triggers necessary for the upcoming levels.

Hey guys - just checking in - the internet is super slow and cuts out a lot.

Looks like there will be lots of fun updates to check out when I get home.

@frettless - If you set prized in those secrets parts, it will show up as blank if someone didn't get those when they hit the scoreboard. However, even that offers little incentive for people to look for hidden areas. I add hidden rooms because it gives the level some replayability - but it shouldn't be incorporated with the idea that people will/should find them.

Too bad I can't check out your level.

Or it is a challenging level - many people won't devote the time to try a level again if they lose all their lives - I'm glad MM has incorporated infinite lives checkpoints in the next update so that we don't have to keep creating them ourselves.

I don't think my levels are to challenging. Maybe there not fun. There a little basic, but I enjoy creating them. Thats what it's all about to me.

ok guys... bear with me here. This is probably a stupid question, but how do I add the paintenator to a level of mine (I have purchased the MGS pack). I have gone through my entire tool box options and don't see it anywhere. If anyone could help I would appreciate it!

Some of the MGS create tools must be collected in the MGS levels. I can't remember if the paintinator was one of those. Make sure you have the MGS Booty Master trophy. If not, the paintinator *might* be in one of the levels somewhere.

If you already have it, it should be right next to the jetpack.

Hmm...I checked from my pod and the paintinator is in a prize bubble somewhere in Act 2. Make sure you have 100% for that level.
