Amazing game and I'm loving everything about it with my limited 3 hours so far. I'm absolutely terrible, but a big part of the fun is feeling yourself catch on and improve as you go. HUGE bang/buck with this release.

They didn't change gameplay with this they literally took the time to fix all the bugs from the original release. It used to be very easy to button mash warehouse and get 300k off the first hill due to speed and knowing what to do. Now you have to actually know the controls and see which combos you can do without wiping. Grinding also seems more fluid and with everything harder to stay balanced.

Love they kept the soundtrack, love the game play is the same. Hate this ****ing COVID-19 virus preventing me and friends from getting together and getting lost in this over hours upon hours of game play.

Can you create a party in multiplayer? I played one match just for the trophy but hopefully you can play with them online.

The game rocks, but some goals are out of my reach right now, driving me nuts. The one bell on School is in the worst location lol

I have Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 on PS1 and bought that game on release day. I loved the demo so much, I still remember how much I couldn't wait to get home and play the full game after work that day. It lived up to my hopes and was a great skating game with fun maps to explore.

I was a skater through high school and college and I've always cared for skateboard games. THPS 1 & 2 in particular.

Collecting the hidden VHS tapes in this game was a really fun challenge. I'm trying to remember what it unlocked. A bonus level maybe. It's been many years.

The mall was a favorite level.

I bought a couple skate deck and grip designs and I don't see them when I'm trying to change those appearance options. So I might be in the same boat. I um, don't know what the deal is.

I don't have the game open at the moment. But I think the skate shop is accessible at the top of the main menu, not in the pause menu, where you go through tabs by pressing L1, R1 and L2 and R2. It's the same menu system when the game is paused, but the shop only shows when you're not already in a game mode.
I bought some things, it subtracted the money, but I don't see them in other menus.

I can't get the hang of doing manuals to extend my combos. I see videos of people doing million point runs and all, and I have no idea. Manuals weren't something I learned in the original THPS2.
The tutorial says to tap the left stick up or down, or the directional button. I can only get into it using the left stick, like 60% of the time. Tapping the directional buttons have yet to get me into a manual. And I can't land into one.

I've gotten kind of used to finding a place to grind and bounce off a wall and repeat to get bigger scores. But I don't want to keep myself limited to that.

Manuals need a super quick up then down flick on the stick or dpad or a quick down>up which I'm sure you know (your post seemed to imply your only pushing either up or down, but you have to do both in rapid succession to manual). Just want to make sure your hitting both up/down or down/up.

I will update if I see a way to them! I'm also only playing as Hawk. I've thought maybe it's only there if you use your own skater but that doesn't seem right, and I also haven't gone into create a skater at all.

Oohkay, thanks! The tutorial doesn't seem to explain that very well, or I'm just dense. I even started to think my d-pad was subtly busted. Will try this out when I start again later. I just free skated around for like 45 minutes thinking I would start getting the hang of it.

I tried Tony Hawk for the PS1, but never liked it.
