Is Dennis DeYoung a part of this? I know he and the band parted ways a while back but if he's a part of this then I would be really interested in picking this up.

No Dennis. They all parted on a sour note. There aren't even any of his songs in this performance. I do not recommend this concert.

TRACKLISTING 1. Blue Collar Man 2. Lorelei 3. One With Everything 4. It Don't Make Sense (You Can't Make Peace) 5. Can't Find My Way Home 6. I Am The Walrus 7. Just Be 8. Everything All the Time 9. Crystal Ball 10. Miss America 11. Criminal Mind 12. Too Much Time On My Hands 13. Boat on the River 14. I Don't Need No Doctor 15. Medley: Put Me On / Mademoiselle / Heavy Metal Poisoning / Midnight Ride / Sing for the Day / Shooz / Queen of Spades / Great White Hope / Half Penny Two Penny / Borrowed Time / Rockin' the Paradise / Lights / Man in the Wilderness 16. Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man) 17. Renegade

Despite the absence of Mr. DeYoung and his songs, it is a very enjoyable show. Until I saw it on HDNet, I didn't realize that Larry Gowan was in fact the same person who released a series of hit albums in the late '80s in his native Canada.

I WANT this Blu!!!

I've seen Styx/Damn Yankees live numerous times and the musicianship just shines through every concert. This disc is Styx w/ a symphony kind of like Metallica did that one time they...um...nevermind. 4/21 can't get here soon enough!

Any other Styx fans on the site?

Not to get off track...but..

I was watching a show on VH1 Classic, and Mark Goodman (MTV..the early years)...was talking to Jack Blades of NIght Ranger. He said, there will be more Damn Yankees coming as the members have been talking of reforming.
I have seen them a couple of times....and they were great.

Back on topic...

This is great news. I never understood why Damn Yankees was not a bigger success. They were absolutely kick ass live. Come Again was as good as any rock song in the 90's and Nugents best guitar work.

Back to original topic. Old Styx was phenomenal. Does this reunion include Dennis DeYoung? IMO it was when DeYoung became the dominant force in the group they went downhill quickly with crap like Babe and Paradise Theater.

If you guys want to transform this to a Damn Yankees thread (after I get the Styx BR) I am fine with that. I have taken a personal bass guitar lessons w/ Jack Blades while he was doing his thing at Ft. Riley. In addition to being a few inches shorter than your average Oompa Loompa, Jack is one hell of an American Military buff on the Civil War era.

Any band that contains Shaw and Blades as amazing American songwriters and Shaw (vegitarian) and Nugent (carnivore) and Michael Cartilone (painted baby cribs before playing drums for DY) is a band whose album I will buy in a heartbeat. Great to hear they're taking another stab at it.

With that being said, I still can't wait for the Styx Blu-ray. I have concert Blus that sound and look great (Dave Matthews/NIN/Dave Gilmour) but they aren't the bands that I LOVE. Styx is a band I LOVE.

Sometime I'll post my two personal stories when I hung out w/ the Nuge. The character he plays when the cameras are on.....yeah, that's how he is all the time.

I have gotten past that "I feel old" stuff. Now, its just fun to listen to.

I tell you what...going to see some of those 'older ppl' in concert the past few years, they have been some of the best concerts I have ever seen.
