Honestly, I don't personally see a large difference in HDR10. Yeah, the difference is there, but it's nothing I am going to lose sleep over. In all fairness the the original audio should be more important.

Me too. If I got the fig I'd be obligated to get the Roddy fig as well and next thing you know I'm spending 100 dollars on toys. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

This set will look great on shelf next to the Big Trouble In Little China Set. I wouldnt mind if they released more Carpenter titles in this format. (And what will they do when they reissue Little China in 4k????)

Shout Factory's DEER HUNTER 4K is Dolby Vision + UK import THEY LIVE 4K is Dolby Vision (same master??) = I'm just assuming THIS will be Dolby Vision

I missed so many early SF Collector's Editions on BD. I won't be making that mistake w/ UHD. I'll definitely preorder this (as soon as a movie-only option shows up on Amazon).

I can completely identify with your statement. When I first started my Bluray collection I bought mostly new releases and major label catalogue titles.

Unfortunately Shout wasn`t on my radar until 2015, so I also missed out
on many of the early CEs.
Had to pay Ebay scalper prices to get my hands on some of them, but with enough patience I was able to get a few really good deals as well.

Now my collection is actually focussed on 4K and Shout releases, so I make sure to get every Shout title I want first day, in order to not repeat old mistakes

Especially since there are more collectors today and stuff tends to sell out and go out of print even faster than back in the day.

If you still have the slip for the SC release you can sell it for like 40 on Ebay. That should be enough to break even on this release.

Mine did that exact thing. I got a replacement and it played fine. Maybe it was a first batch thing?
