Well, that explains why the Cohen titles I ordered 11 days ago haven't even shipped yet...

Maybe, like Cohen, Film Movement have changed distributors?

Well that would be a very case-specific reason, and a lot easier to understand. But when I said "random" I meant it: in no particular order, Francofonia, The Mark of Zorro, Lost Horizon, The Lodger, The Wind Will Carry Us as well as The Great Silence are all now "Sold Out". Something's clearly up, and with almost any other outfit I'd be inclined to enquire directly what it might be: but with Wow, I don't think I've ever had a response to any email I've ever had occasion to send them, and they were in regard to actual paying custom-type matters rather than a general enquiry, so I wouldn't hold out much hope of enlightenment....

Looks like they put all the back-ordered items on Not Available, so you cant order them anymore. Maybe to weed out the complaints about long outstanding backorders?

I sort of get that since I try to order them only when they are in stock. What sucks though is that they also make it impossible to wishlist the items (wich are not available), one of the main reasons I had a wishlist is to keep track of items that werent in stock, to see if they go back instock again. Now I have to manually search the titles each time.

first world problems I know

Is Alphabet City any good? The trailer makes it look "none more 80s". Is it gritty in an Abel Ferrara NYC kind of way?

The recent wave from Paramount, The Phantom, The Two Jakes, Timeline, Vampire in Brooklyn, and others are under £8 at the moment.

You can see the titles here:

I think there was some concern whether they would be pressed or not, Manufactured on Demand was mentioned (not sure if Paramount have had a BD-R period in the past, I could only find The Amazing Race in the database).

Thankfully they all seem to be pressed discs, MoD seems to be a relatively confusing term, as Warner Archive use to indicate that they press runs to match demand so they don't have warehouses full of unsold discs.

Looking forward to The Phantom, it's great fun.

I was a bit worried because of the ultra cheap price for importing a new American blu-ray and because last time that I ordered a US Paramount bd (Funeral In Berlin) through wow hd, there were both pressed disc and BD-R versions in the market place. Phew.

Just got the Cohen release of Joan the Maid in.. Took 20 working days. Unfortunately the case came in cracked, and the shards and sharp cracks cut a bit of the cover.. at least the discs are fine. Been really waiting to watch Jeanne la pucelle.

I just need Pont du Nord now and my Rivette Blu-Ray collection is complete!

I received the scream factory critters collection set today which is lucky as I ordered it in August while it was on backorder and i received an email a couple of weeks ago to say it was shipped even though it was still showing as a backorder on Wow's website and now its seemingly sold out.

Still waiting on 5 criterions and 5 of those new paramount titles. I did notice most of those new paramount titles are getting released in Germany at the beginning of November.
