Yup, again this show is not subtle. They wouldn't just feature a random psycho superhero who can squish people with her mind without going somewhere with it.

It is also nothing new in comics, they took plenty of shots at Nixon.
Captain America was going to quit in protest over watergate. Steve Englehart was not concerned how it would like in 10 or 20 years, it was important then and is so now.

Yes and if something like this happens again, they should show it as they see it and not hide from it and pretend these things would not affect the characters.

If people are this sensitive to this stuff shows and movies like this and Watchmen are not for them. The writers are making very clear statements about the world they live in. To pretend this is something new is pretty strange though.

People see what they want to see. Same with Star Trek and Star Wars. If they are seeing fingers being pointing at them, it is a problem with them not the show or movie.
