From your mouth to Mr. and Mrs. Shout's ears. But I'm afraid the die has been cast on these since Shout has always been pretty stingy with regards to double features and I'm not sure what vintage Corman titles they would consider as marketable non-LE stand alones.

Although CRAB MONSTERS is arguably my favorite release of the year thus far, I'm still not too happy about the price tag for it. We seem to be heading into a bit of Laserdisc territory now with more releases considered a niche product. Well, as I always say, better to spend your money on one thing you REALLY want as opposed to ten things you only marginally want.

Not a chance these will ever happen.

I know its a futile hope, but I wish Scream Factory could somehow get The Hitcher (1986). It would be a huge seller. Insane that this movie is so neglected.

At this point, I would only imagine Vinegar Syndrome could pull it off. They've been the only studio to routinely pull off titles that had notorious rights issues (Fade to Black, Spookies, etc)

A lot of stuff that's already on blu-ray. I'd be in for The Mothman Prophecies, The Cave and Eight Legged Freaks since they've never had blu-ray releases.

I thought The Hitcher was with HBO (WB)?

It is... And they’ve yet to create a new HD master, it’s still a non-anamorphic 2.35 SD master.

From what I understand it's the producer. Wants to much money.

Although, they are releasing Dave Franco's terrific 'The Rental' which is a thriller and not a 'horror' movie per se.

(Can't wait for the making of featurette for it. Franco's directing style has a kind of David Fincher chilliness to it. There's not a wasted shot in the whole movie.)

One series that would be kind of cool to get as a boxed set is the Children of The Corn series. If they released it with each movie getting it's own box and artwork, I'd probably pre-order it day one. I think there's a rights issue with several of the movies, that could prevent it from happening.

They have other Raimi titles, so it only makes sense to me. And I know there could be a debate of what line they would fall onto (Scream or Shout). But I say look to Carpenter and how Starman, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, and even Somebody is Watching me got Scream release.
Personally, they belong on Scream and they really need a release each.
And to me, I like when director's smaller, unappreciated titles get looked at. IMO, The Gift is Raimi's version of Deadly Blessing by Craven. Not in style or anything but in the fact that they were smaller titles that people don't talk enough about.

I listed this in the Manhunter thread but figured I would drop it here as well.

I just recently purchased a new 4K tv (TCL R635) along with a Pannasonic 4K player (UB820). I have been messing around with settings and testing various discs and for reasons I can't quite figure out, I am dealing with very slight lip sync issues on a few Scream Factory titles. I have only tested out 'Manhunter' and 'Pumpkinhead' and noticed inconsistencies on both. Nothing so bad that it would ruin the entire films, but enough for me to notice. I am trying to determine if this is a player/TV issue or a QC issue on the SF discs. Has anyone else dealt with lip sync issues on SF discs? I have not had any issues with Criterion, Synapse, etc--just those two SF films so far.

Their bigger sales usually start on Mondays. So maybe later today, maybe next Monday? Depends on how the sale is structured.
