Default Braveheart 9/1/09 (inc. PQ discussion)

Okay, anyone who watches movies, has to have seen Braveheart some time or another. Many know that the dvd's picture quality wasn't all that. Now I have been to a few websites including amazon, and all say TBR: 2009. Does anyone know a more specific date?

I do not, but I agree with the DVD quality. Sold it immediately after purchasing and eagerly awaiting the Blu release! Hopefully it's soon.

It's allegedly coming this year, with the latest signs pointing to July/August.

Heck, it was allegedly coming in January of this year, but that came and went with no release!

I'll buy this movie...AFTER it's confirmed that it is a quality release. Never cease to be amazed at some of the blatant rip off releases by these studios that are marginal, at best, improvements over the DVD releases.

I find it hard to believe this won't be a substantial improvment, until Lord of the Rings rolled around it was easily the best epic you could get. I don't care when its released, I'm estatic at the mere fact that it's going to be.

Braveheart was a huge release. I doubt they will screw this release up, or William Wallace will come up from his grave and slay all who were involved.

well, according to my "notes," and when i say "notes" i mean a 3x3 post-it note w/movie release dates written on it.....Braveheart was posted previously as being release 8/11/09 and Gladiator sometime in Sept. '09. so i'm hoping for a release in Oct. sometime.

Why is it called Sapphire? Are Sapphires related to Scotland?

covered on the ask digital bits posts--

basically the SAPPHIRE titles are going to be kind of a "classic films" on blu- ray going forward from Paramount--- and yes it's no coincidence that
sapphires are blu.... err blue!
