The Funhouse is a cool little monster flick. I find it a lot of fun.

I find THE FUNHOUSE to be quite fun in term of its visuals. However, I find the characters to be dull and forgettable.

If it's the Tobe Hooper one, I like it more than most slashers. I thought it was only ok the first time I saw it though.
Inbreeding carny folk, a deformed kid who's dead baby brother is on displsy in a bottle in the freak show, being locked in the funhouse overnight, etc. It may have been even better, but the producer randomly ripped out about 10 unfilmed pages to prevent it from going over budget.

THE FUNHOUSE is a movie that gets better and better every time I see it--- when I first saw it back in the day I thought it was slow and took forever to get going... then I started to appreciate the atmosphere and the build up more and more.

Today, I think it's a very good film (4 out of 5 stars)--- the direction, tone, music, and special effects are all excellent--- one of Hooper's best films!

Seriously, though, it's no masterpiece, but I liked it better than Hell Night, for example, if I recall correctly. I might need to watch it again, though.

So... will we get announcements today? After November and December we don't even know if Scream have anything planned for January (beyond the postponed Event Horizon), so some news soon would be nice.

EDIT: According to Amazon, They Live has been pushed back to January 19.

No surprise - Prince of Darkness 4K UHD coming January 19

If Amazon Canada is to be believed, that will be all for January in terms of proper Scream titles (something called Dead Reckoning is also getting a release, presumably an IFC title?). If so, that's 3 'new' titles announced for November to January, all of which had prior Blu-ray releases, and in two cases are upgrades of titles previously released by Scream, both of which will utilize 4K remasters which appeared elsewhere a couple of years ago (and offer seemingly very little - if anything - in the way of brand new extras).

Not a particularly encouraging start to 2021, though hopefully this isn't the full January line-up.

Perhaps, though it might also be that case that they've actually lost the rights to EFNY. After all, Mad Max was a great seller for them so you'd have thought a UHD release was a no-brainer, but obviously we know that they really did lose the rights.

I believe they never issued an OOP warning for The Fog though, so that should have a chance.

Escape From NY in 4k would be great. The Fog however in 4k almost seems kinda unnecessary. There's really nothing you can improve on from it's current release. There's nothing in The Fog that screams "I NEED to see this in 4k!" The whole film primarily takes place in the dark and there's not a lot of great sets that were filmed.

What brings me back to The Fog is the final act in the church and the excellent music and score by John Carpenter. That's pretty much it, otherwise I'm quite happy with my Blu-ray.

The Fog is probably my favorite Carpenter and I don't think a UHD would be unnecessary at all...

I'm also happy with the blu-ray, but would buy a 4k in an instant!!

I think a lot of people would disagree with you. Bring on The Fog 4K! I have the UK 4K and it's an improvement for sure but would definitely pick up a Scream release as well.
