Not if you only want the first film. I think the sequels are redundant garbage, you couldn't pay me to watch those again.
First film is a masterpiece.

Like I said Black Friday at $24.99 will be fine for me.
Or until Universal comes to their senses and offers the option to buy individual movies on disc, not forced bundles that many of us do not want!

Yeah I didn’t check my discs but the 1st 2 played flawlessly. Can’t wait to check out part 3. One of the best trilogy’s ever.

Why do people keep asking about this? It’s been almost 20 years since the film went back to its original state.

The option is removed once it is sent to warehouse.

Well this sounds like a totally legitimate company.

At least use a scene from a Universal film! To be honest, for $10 I can wait a week or two for them to ship. They probably got hammered with orders as I'm sure most of us are aware.

It is. It's Universal themselves.
They only have a couple of people working the warehouse to fulfill both GR-UV website orders and GR-UV Ebay orders.
There are only two people that take and answer phone calls. One for placing an order and one for other customer service inquiries.

People seem to forget that not just the US, but the world is still in lock down mode!

I watched part 1 tonight in DV on my OLED and although it looks far from perfect, it still looks a lot better than the old BDs, that's for sure! Afterwards I watched some of the extras and it uses clips from the old BDs and that was quite a jarring experience. It really looks horrible. Yuck.
I did noice the chroma mistake that Geoff mentions. The grain on objects like the paper and the roof of the car looked weird in that part of the film as well. Is that part of the problem?

Yes, because the yellow/blue dye blobs that form in/around the grain are also smearing across which is what makes it look so oddly analogue-esque, like the old days when brightness and colour were just smooshed together into one signal. (That's not what has happened here, the luma and chroma are still encoded separately in YCbCr, it just looks really old-school is all.)

Picked this idea up from someone at another site. IF you don't mind cutting into the packaging with scissors, snipping the cardboard in just past the centre of where the disc is allows you to open the 'flaps' slightly and get a finger on the centre of the disc, making removal a little easier.

Watched all three films in this set. This is now one of my favorite 4K releases of all time, the upgrade from Blu-ray was fantastic! And the films themselves are marvelous, including the sequels which I enjoyed more than ever on this latest rewatch. As far as the packaging goes, those sleeves are extra tight. What I found works best is pushing down on the exposed part of the disc with my thumb and sliding out until the hole in the middle is exposed than carefully pulling out as normal. No scratches on my discs and no issues during playback on any of the three films.

My fear is that we'll never see stand-alone releases of these films again.
Mr. Entertainment;18232177 I admit that I haven't checked, but do people sell the individual movies on Ebay, like many did with columbia classics recently?

I just use these https://www.ebay.com/itm/50-100-300-...72.m2749.l2649

My set isn't here yet but my Dragon Ball Z 30th bluray set is in carboard sleeves and those are also tight. These not only make a pullout tab, but it also lessens the friction protects the discs and makes it a lot easier to get the discs out

Wowser. Just watched Part 3. That's gone from being so anaemic and lifeless to being the runaway highlight of the entire remaster. Couldn't believe I was watching a film from 1990 tbh - there were parts that looked like they were shot this year!

Nothing wrong with that, lots of people don't import, even here in Europe where it is Region B all round with several sound tracks on most movies.
