FWIW, I placed my order and never reached out about an ETA, even after their telling me it would be delayed. I figured I’d keep myself inconspicuous since I got in at the $10 price. Seems to have worked out, at least in my particular case.

2 customer service employees for the phones. One for new orders, one fore everything else.
Corona impacted everything. Universal got their first allotment of sets the morning they were to be released.
That's on the carrier. DHL, UPS, Usps, FedEx. Whoever.
Then they have the ebay orders to fill first, because of the eBay policy.
Plus there are people that ordered 80 copies. That needs to be shipped in multiple boxes.
Then there's the fact that they are working with limited in warehouse employees because of Corona restrictions.
Only so many can work.
Then they are off for a day while a cleaning crew comes in and cleans everything.
Then a new group, rinse and repeat.

Chill out, shut up and wait like the rest of us!

They seem to have no issues keeping other retailers stocked. I wouldn’t be having an issue if they didn’t charge me before it even gets shipped out. They gladly toke my money but want to ship my order out. That should be considered fraud.

Gold Ranger ref 'Plus there are people that ordered 80 copies. That needs to be shipped in multiple boxes.' Why are they supplying 80 coppies to any one? People that want that many should be using trade suppliers

You'd think so, but the UK equivalent of gruv (called zoom) is just as bad for customer service.

Yeah, I get that. But for some reason, they did not cancel all of the scalper orders.
They should have canceled everyone that ordered 2 or 3 or more

Dude, seriously. Didn't you pay like $12 up front? How much whining can you do?

It's because he's sweating that he'll have to pay more

I still paid for it. Everyone who had their money taken out without receiving theirs and not having issues with that are the problem. Makes no since that’s Amazon is the only company that doesn’t charge people until their orders are in the shipping stage.

I won’t pay more. I’m only getting it cause of the price. No way am I paying $40 to $50 for sleeve packaging specially since most who have theirs are reporting scratched discs and freezing issues. I didn’t buy the Jurassic Park 4K set until they put the movies in individual cases.

The price keeps falling...

Just maybe there's something to do with the packaging in this case.

Anybody had any issues with discs skipping? I’ve only attempted to watch the first but it keeps getting hung up during the dinner scene at Lorraine’s. I contacted Universal but just wanted to see if it’s an issue. Sony X800M2 fwiw.

Several people have reported getting hung up or macroblocking during that "dinner at Lorraine's" scene. And some are playing fine. I haven't watched the whole disc yet, but I did check out that particular scene on my Oppo 203 yesterday and it played fine.

only just opened the BB set (i.e. NO SLEEVES version) and the first two UHD are giving my drive a bit of fits, probably won't be possible to get smooth play off them without copying to HD (assuming that even works, if not, then gonna have to exchange them) although the third disc seems to work much better (I think it's mostly fingerprints or bad pressings and not sleeves that cause issues.)

from the VERY brief few seconds peaks I managed to get of the first two, certainly looks to blow the old home versions away (although I didn't look at the bad chroma part or the ten minute section said to be bad or opticals scenes) and the few seconds look at one spot I peeked at on the third disc looked quite nice, certainly have never seen so much detail on these ever before, grain maybe a little low but on the parts I looked at certainly there and it felt better than say Goonies (although only a few seconds peek at each and not the more troublesome scenes and bits)

I guess you haven’t been following the thread or you will know people are having freezing and skipping problems.
