Mate, you're getting a brand new release a little later at 75% off. During a worldwide pandemic from a new understaffed seller who could have cancelled all the orders. They didn't lie and they said you'd get your order.

Have some patience.

I haven't read back that far about this, but from what I gather there was a pricing error on this GRUV site that made it cheap as hell and a bunch of people jumped on it?

Wonder why it's on backorder

It seems that members who ordered there sets on the same day or a day or 2 have September 26 had their orders in.

Maybe there's more to it than that but it is never explicitly explained.
Doesn't matter really, this trilogy is legendary!
I love the way they introduce it in the original which Marty showing Doc the picture trying to convince him he's from the future and Doc dismissing it as a fake because his brothers head is missing.

Really I think the film tries to keep things as non specific as it possibly can, doesn't get into any exact mechanics beyond simple logic so any holes are much easier for the audience to ignore or if they like explain away.

Yes, this is the same retailer (Universal themselves) that won't make their rewards from their rewards program available "bEcaUSe iT'S a PAndEmIC!" but somehow managed to sell and ship off their entire inventory of said items for 75-90% off.

I think the writhing in pain is due to old Biff disappearing from existence (which is shown in a deleted scene).

Sorry to hear that Bud.

I got an extra UK set. Fold out digipak. Much better packaging. PM me if interested.

I don’t think it’s a packaging issue. I got the Best Buy Steelbooks and have the same issues.

That's pretty much how time travel works in movies, always has: it does whatever makes dramatic sense at any given point, not always logical sense. I mean, as it is they cut old Biff's disappearing act out of the movie because although it jives with what happens to Marty in the first film it doesn't fit at all with the alternative timelines posed in the second, as said: Biff should've returned to the 2015A version of the future just as Marty and Doc returned to the 1985A version. As also said: maybe the ripple effect taking time (heh) to work is one way to rationalise it, that time flows like a river and it can't always be diverted so easily.

If it was up to me, your order would be shuffled to the back of the line out of sheer principle.

You don't deserve to have Batman in your username.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If I remember correctly, Biff was supposed to get killed by Lorraine in the alternate 1985, hence why he ceases to exist upon returning to Hilldale in 2015. Still think it was a bizarre choice to cut the end of that scene, in which he actually fades away. Did they ever explain it in the extras? I cannae remember.

The filmmakers actually tackle that in the "FAQ" extra for the films. According to them, they specifically shot that sequence outdoors, after Marty and Doc left the house, so that the timeline was altered around them without them noticing. Once Old Biff returned, if they were to go back inside the house, they would find that other people were living there.

Man, Part II is wild.

I thoroughly enjoyed re-watching it 'properly' for what must have been the first time in years (I'm so used to catching chunks of it on ITV - complete with their usual dose of censorship). The original's still my fave, but I commend Part II for being ambitious, imaginative, and shamelessly over-the-top.

Part II is definitely one of the most unique movies I've ever seen. It's not really my cup of tea (the only part I genuinely like is the final act in 1955) but I appreciate what a strange journey it is.

The final act is actually my least favourite part of the film. It's clever, but it just feels too much like a retread for me, albeit without the heart of the original (Lorraine and George make me emosh). 2015 and 1985A, though? Deliciously hammy.

I really didn't enjoy it this time around, I have to say. They go so wild with the possibilities and permutations that it feels so soulless, not having Crispin Glover involved seemed to rip the heart out of Part II so they went all dark and depressing with it. Though that's what the middle movies in trilogies tend to do, natch.

That's the point though, ham and nostalgia on rye (hold the mayo) doesn't quite work for me any more, and I say that as someone who likes the 1955 segments the most out of everything in Part II. They just remind me how hollow Part II actually is.
