We can all agree physical media is better. Even if just as a backup in case your digital copy is deleted, you need to create a new account or something.
Altering hardware to not play discs sounds extreme. I can’t see that ever being done just to keep people from watching an old movie. There will always be a way to play whatever format we have. I think it’s all done just to discourage piracy over the internet. Not that they actually consider DVDs/Blu-Rays/etc...”unowned”. |
