So far, the feedback from those who played this for four hours or so is positive, as they say they weren't into the game at first, but after playing, found Fenyx Rising to be a fun game so far, with a lot of adventure hours to complete it.

This game came out of nowhere, but it's good to see a lighter tone game being offered for open world, even though I normally like a more realistic open world game.

If the comments are anything to go by, a DLC trailer appearing before the game has launched seems to have got quite a way up people's noses.

Yeah, not sure why. Ubisoft have done similar for Valhalla. It’s aimed at people who are buying the season pass version up front. Personally I’d rather know all about the dlc up front if I were considering the ‘gold’ version of game, or whatever.

This game and its dlc is looking excellent by the way.

This game looks like fun in a Zelda adventure kind of way. Looks cool.

Agreed - I think people believe they are entitled to have every bit of content upon release, otherwise it's a cash grab by the studio, which is nonsense. I'm really looking forward to this.

Yep, that's exactly what I thought, and I find the stylized graphics really pleasing.

Cool. I'm definitely sure they were strongly inspired by Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It's also nice you can zoom the camera in when aiming an arrow, for a closer look at the world from their point of view.

I like the fact you have the awesome ability to glide right away from the moment you gain access to the open world. That's one of my favorite abilities when a game offers it. Going back to Transformers on PS2, when I finally got the right minicons to be able to glide on the jungle stages. And even further back with Raziel in Soul Reaver on PS1.

If Assassin's Creed Valhalla wasn't already out, I'd probably be picking this up right away on Thursday. It seems like I'd have a pretty good time with it, but time is the problem right now. Glad to see it seems to be a solid game, so it'll be on my list for the early part of next year.

Beautiful, content-rich and extremely elegant: This action adventure not only feels feels like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but can almost equal its tremendous quality.
December 3, 2020 it's out.

I'll wait for a price drop as I'm booked up right now and Ubisoft games drop in price quickly.

Kind of weird since Assassin's Creed Valhalla's PS5 version came on disc (and has the PS5 version on the disc), that this would be a PS4 disc and you have to download the PS5 version. At least that is what is listed for this in several online stores (including Ubisoft).

Not a huge deal, but it kind of defeats the purpose of owning this on disc if that is how it will be.

I can't wait to get my copy on Thursday. Big fan of Greek mythology and I'm really digging the overall atmosphere of the game. I'm extremely happy to see that it's getting great reviews.

Yeah, this was a good surprise from Ubisoft and Fenyx Rising looks like a fun game.

That's too bad they are only offering a PS4 disc if that's true for the PS5 version. That's pretty pointless to release it with the PS5 banner on the cover. "Here's a disc that won't work for the PS5 version you bought it for, so you'll have to download the PS5 version" is pretty much what they're saying. They were too cheap to create the PS5 discs.

It was something I noticed on Ubisoft.com and a few online stores. It could be an error on Ubisoft's part I suppose, but we'll know for sure soon enough when unboxing videos start popping up in a couple of days.

Looks pretty solid. Too much else to play right now, but will likely check it out during a slow point in new releases next year and after it's cheaper.

Yes. Ubisoft is considered corrupt by some, but they offer brand new PS5 experiences (with flaws though) for a reasonable price of all things. Out of the door, the PS5 versions were suggested at 59.99, not 69.99. Why would Ubisoft do that? They could've been totally greedy and asked for 69.99 like Sony does for a game. Nevermind that their games are discounted down to 29.99 in less than a month for Watch Dogs Legion PS4/5 temporarily for the holidays. That price is going back up though.

Even so, we'll see how they price their next round of games in 2021.

Watch Dogs Legion PS5 - Despite some crashes, good open world game.
AC Valhalla PS5 - Got good reviews overall.
Fenyx Rising PS5 - Good reviews too.
Just Dance 2021 PS5 - I haven't followed this one.
Far Cry 6 - TBD

I forgot about Just Dance. I pre-ordered Far Cry 6 Gold steelbook. Bought Valhalla from Best Buy day 1 and Watch Dogs for that $30 price. Not to mention both Valhalla & Watch Dogs came with $10 certs from Best Buy.

I also don't mind Ubisoft. Some are irrationally anti-Ubisoft because of the time save and cosmetic stuff in the store. But I don't find it egregious. For the former, I've never used or needed to use a time-saver, I just play these games. The open world ones aren't designed to put down after 20 hours. And for the latter cosmetic item stuff, you can get them in-game. For instance in Valhalla, you can do daily or weekly contracts to earn opals to get the store stuff. It's a grind, and would be slow, but the point is it's there... and then option there if money is no object and it's not an obligation to do so. I personally won't but I'm not about to tell people not to buy add-ons if they want add-ons, I'm not their dad. And not going to rail against Ubisoft for making more opportunity for themselves to earn from their investment.
