Went by DT. Spent 5 minutes looking, saw nothing. As I turned the corner to head toward the door, I turned right into the 12 boxes on an endcap.

Ended up picking up

DVDs
Lost in the Sun
Lake Placid Legacy
The Wind
TrollHunter

Blus
Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark
Hollow
Dark Was the Night

Doesn't seem like any of the Los Angeles area stores have new movies - I called 6 stores and they all said no. Only one store had put out new stock and it was a single box.

Just to reiterate what everyone else is saying, I’ve been to four stores now and the boxes have all been on the end caps.

I’ve seen a boatload of DVDs and the same Blu Rays that everyone is mentioning. I only went out to see if I could luck into finding the Taboo (Tom Hardy) BD. But no such luck.

I did pick up:

War Dogs
The Stray
Battle for Incheon Operation Chromite
The Extra Man
Master (Korean film)

That’s something I do every time I look through boxes. As I find the Blus, I pile them up and at the end, put them in a box all together.

I’m pretty much in the same situation as you, looking for Taboo and a handful of others...

For anyone on the Southside of Chicago, I was at the DT today on 87th and the Dan Ryan.

They had about 15 boxes, only 4 were open. I opened the rest. Found Spiderman 1 and 3 again, but no #2.

I ended up leaving empty handed. For any one heading out to this store, proceed with caution, the store is in a rough neighborhood.

What part of LA are you Hunting? I’m hoping this extended release date doesn’t have these stores lag it and put them out in the future.

I stopped by one DT today and they had just started putting out about 12 boxes of movies out. It seemed like there were only 4-5 blus per box. FWIW, at least 3 boxes were complete duplicates of one another (same movies, even in the exact same position in the box).

I've heard that Green Lantern is not a very good movie, but I couldn't pass up the steelbook for $1.

Just watch the opening credits to Deadpool, and you'll know what Ryan Reynolds thinks about it.

I thought it was OK , up until the ending.

My closet store didn’t have any out when I went, I’ll have to check tomorrow. the next town over han a full end cap with the boxes, there was some one looking through when I got there. I think he used one of the boxes to carry all the movies he bought. I saw no DC animated movies this time. In addition to the picture l aIso grabbed Horrible Bosses 2 on BD.

Lots of repeats at my stores, but at least it’s not We The Party this time lol. Sadly the first store I go to every time got in no boxes while all stores around them did...? Idk, I’m not convinced fully. They might be confused because it’s not the IOTW and usually every time I go it is. Didn’t press it though and left, they told me the truck will be there tonight again so to try again tomorrow. Was hoping I’d one and done it today, now I’m gonna have to deal with DT on the weekend which probably won’t be fun

I just got home but I’ll muster up the energy and post my haul in a bit

Looks like today will be a weak outing. I’m waiting at one store for the workers to put them out; even volunteered to help. Lol

Still gotta check 2 more stores. I called one and they said they had a lot of movies. Another store ain’t putting them out til later, and I got work.

Looks like I’ll be doing Weekend Hunting. Pray for me that lines aren’t taking forever to get to the cashier. Smh

What is your guys/girls standards for buying $1 movies? Do you have any filter at all when you buy them? I’m trying to find a constant line not to cross when it comes to these because I’m not sure how many of these BBC nature documentaries I’m actually going to watch.
