Demons 1 & 2 UHD coming from Arrow

In 2012, I wouldn't touch Arrow with a barge pole for most titles. Now, they're just about my all time favourite label.

I'm very excited for this. I dont think I've ever seen Demons uncut, I'm pretty sure the old VHS was cut but I still loved it, and I've never seen Demons 2,

I want this but I'm torn between ordering from Zavvi US and Arrow. Does either charge before shipping? I want to support the label but price might be an issue?

Thanks so much for this. Just placed my order directly through Arrow and it knocked £4.50 off my order. Came to £50.50 total.

And to whoever was asking, can confirm that if you pay directly by card they do not charge you until your order ships. Neither does Zavvi.

I put the title in my cart at both websites and even after using a 10% off coupon code at Arrow, the Zavvi US order came out about $5 cheaper, so I went with them.

Usually, I like to save money as well, but in this case, I'll spend the extra $5 rather than trust Zavvi's packaging.

I'm a state that gets charged tax at places like Zavvi. It's a toss up at this point.

Demons 2 is nowhere near as good as the first one, but it's still a very fun ride, and it's great that they're being paired together again.

And to be fair, most of the boutique labels on both sides of the Atlantic were sharing and using the same DNR-ed, scanner noise-riddled transfers 8-10 years ago when it came to Italian cult films. As DickDarlington pointed out, this all changed once Arrow took charge of their own restorations and other boutique labels followed suit. That was a big win for us.

Every time I've ordered from them, the movies have come shipped in a thick cardboard mailer. I've never had anything arrive damaged, off the top of my head.

Demons being released on UHD is like a dream came true, it's a top 10 favourite of mine. Don't care about the sequel though, but it's nice to have it in a double feature. They both have the potential to look absolutely amazing in 4K and with HDR/WCG.

Never thought I would be thinking of selling my Synapse steelbook, but now that has changed... Anyway, I put in my pre-order as soon as I read the news.

I clicked the link and is says Out of Stock, but it also gives me the option to add to cart and checkout? Is that normal for Deff? Seems like they DO have it in stock but I don't want to place an order, get charged, and then find out they really don't have any.

Michael Mackenzie said on his Facebook page that DEMONS 2 will also feature the slightly-different English edit via seamless branching. Basically, the difference comes down Lamberto Bava's cameo at the outdoor Oktoberfest. In the Italian prints (and previous Blu-rays), the dialogue between him and his wife plays out as two seperate shots- a wider shot (that exhibits the same ghosting/double-image artifacting that a few other shots in the film also have), then about half-way through the dialogue it cuts to a closer 2-shot of him and his wife. On English prints, this entire bit played out only in the closer 2-shot (which also doesn't have the double-image artifacting), which synced up much better to Lamberto's English dialogue than that wider shot does.

A small difference, to be sure, but it's awesome that Arrow is being so detailed as to include this slightly different version.

Super happy that Arrow is going full steam ahead with 4k. Package looks great, unfortunately Im not a fan of the movies.

Did get King of New York and Tremors so they at least got some of my money.
